"They came seeking dogs, kittens, even a parrot. Pet lovers on lunch break on City Hall Plaza yesterday flocked to the Animal Rescue League's new Mobile Adoption Rescue Vehicle, where more than 40 animals can peer out of cages and woo passerby willing to take them home."

That's fantastic that you all provide homes for the cats. I can't imagine taking in 7 of them, though. That's great. My great find (the pup in the avatar) will observe his one year anniversary with me in 2 weeks or so.

When I used to work at Harley-Davidson we had a "Hogs for Dogs" campaign every Fall. The local shelter would bring its mobile pet mobile and lots of wonderful animals found homes. There would also be a ride with the proceeds going to the shelter...it was way cool to see these grizzled, leathered up HD riders with their lil' dogs all dressed up and riding shotgun!
