A great Redskin, an incredibly nice person and a native Virginian as well. Awesome honor for him and well deserved.

My two worst memories being a Redskins fan was seeing Monk in Jets/Philly green, and Clark in Cardinals red.
Congrats to Clark. Well deserved.
OMT, i'm surprised more people doesn't use his name somehow as their screen name.

Maybe one of our receivers can lend him their uniform.

Great! One of the players that inspired me to play football. And how many memories of my childhood seeing the amazing #84.... how I miss those times.

Gary Clark was one of the great competitors of his era. No receiver cared more about a catch or worked harder to get open. Productive throughout his stay in the B&G, he was a big play threat to score on any down. A heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Clark. Well deserved, sir.

wasnt it him who used to pay people to knock his feet out from under him while he jumped on a trampoline and tried to catch the football in order to improve his catching skills. I think I remember a story like this when i was 10 or so and I would try and do the same thing on my trampoline.

are you talking about user names here? you'd think ricky sanders as well, but art monk is the big one for us here. and by the younger generations who didnt know anything about charley taylor or bobbie mitchell. yep, if only shally could remember those times ;) .

I always did like Clark growing up (probably my favorite of the three due to his flair) and I'm glad to see him honored. Monk does cast his shadow over the other two, but GC is very deserving.

I couldn't believe when I heard this that Gary wasn't already in the Ring of Fame. Glad to see this finally happening - he was a HUGE part of what makes the Redskins Legacy so great.

Gary is my favorite Redskin of all-time. I have his jersey, several autographs, and a picture of us shaking hands. There is no one I'd rather see in the ring of fame than Clark. His play was simply breathtaking.

Overdue. What would the current team be like if we had someone of his ability in the WR corps? Isn't that what we are hoping McCardell becomes (fat chance)?

Agreed, well deserved and about time. Number 84 was the fire to Art Monk's ice, the 2 were impossible to cover. When the added Ricky to the mix, no wonder we won so many games, back in the day. Congrats Gary, I loved watching you play!

Glad to see Gary Clark honored. What I remeber best about Gary Clark is that he was one of the toughest WRs ever. It seemed like every week there was some doubt it he was going to be able to play; hamstring, calf, knee injury etc. Then he would suit up on Sunday, go across the middle, catch a pass, get obliterated (all sorts of his personnel equipment would go flying in all directions), hold on for a key 1st down, and get up to do it all over again.
