REDSKINS' LEFOTU ARRESTED by Michael David Smith
The Washington, D.C. television station WUSA is reporting that Redskins offensive lineman Kili Lefotu was arrested last night after an incident at an Ashburn, Virginia, restaurant.
Per WUSA, Lefotu is being held in Loudoun County jail and has been charged with being drunk in public, simple assault and destruction of property.
Lefotu is a first-year player who went to college at Arizona. His NFL.com player page says he has never appeared in a regular-season game, which means that if the Redskins (who are off this week) are in the mood to send a message that they won't tolerate players who get into off-field trouble, Lefotu would be a likely candidate to get cut.
We're going to need to re-set the "days without an arrest" counter after it reached the whopping total of two days.
looks like we're the first NFC East team to have an arrest since Florio started Turd Watch

This is pretty late coming out considering it happened during the bye week. He can kiss his Redskins days good-bye.

Before we cut him, I would at least give the Bengals a call and see if they are interested...

If you're hanging on to the team by a thread, you should really know better.

I have to know details of the incident before I pass judgement. It could be very minor.

Yeah just saw it on NBC 4. Its not as bad as it reads the reporter asked some people on the scene and they were saying he was provoked and actually just pushed the guy. He was drunk though and kinda stumbling around.

You're a Redskin player and you're in public and you push someone. Even though it was provoked, it won't sit well with Gibbs. Maybe he won't be let go but to Gibbs, He still EMBARRASED THE REDSKINS.

Being a practice squad guy, this will likely lead to his departure but I will wait until I see what exactly happened before passing any judgement. Being drunk, fighting, damaging property and being arrested are all things that could have and did happen around me when I was younger.

what a way to go -- after fighting to get where he was, this was not smart-- but then alcohol has been known to cause temporary brain cell confusion:D

Yeah, I agree. I'm very tough on players, but this isn't as big of a deal to me as DUI or other mistakes players make. I want to hear all the facts and trust the Redskins to handle it accordingly.

It seems they already have delt with it since it happend over 2 weeks ago? I guess they could be waiting on court. If it is no big news now I have to think there is some sort of lesser charges in store. Now I guess that changes if someone was hurt.

At the rate our O-linemen are dropping I wouldn't be surprised to see Lefotu playing RG and Fabini playing RT vs. the Cards.

Do you think Williams posts bail here or no?
Maybe a back rub for good measure just in case?

At least we know that Kili is possibly capable of assault and damage. That gives him my vote right now.

I'll order up 100 "Free Kili" t-shirts right now. ;)

Coming into the league, wasn't the knock on him something about a lack of fire and not utilizing his natural strength? Maybe they just need to slip him some 'dirty' gatorade before games from now on ;)
