so next week me and my buds are going to the cardinals game. Its my first game so i have never been to fedex field. I was looking at a map of the parking lots and was wondering whats the best parking lot for the best price? And how far is the walk from the cash, blue, and red parking lots? it looks sooooo far,

so what should i do? which lot should i aim for?

Skip parking at FEDEX, park at Landover Metro station (free), take the bus to game and back for 6 bucks.

If you like that take 395 to S Capitol to 295/Kensworth Ave to Rt 50 East then 2nd exit to Landover and the station is at the first light on the left. In the AM no stadium traffic and not really a bunch when you leave.

I guess it depends what you mean by tailgating :) I sit there and eat something and have a beer. I don't think beer is allowed but it seems that if you are not having a big party no one says anything. I don't think you can really setup a grill or anything either. Plenty of people are hanging out eating though.

Bottom line I think is no it is not but if you are low key no one says anything.

Park at the secret cash lot! If you need directions PM Smoak...he parks there almost every week. It cost $20 bucks, and it is really close to the stadium.

Drove accross it for the Giants and Lions games. It was closed, your right, but just for the summer, it opened just before the first game.

Unless you are really set on a big tailgate (you can hang out and eat, have never really seen anyone grill, and low key drink if you like) I don't know why you would do anything else but this option as far as driving goes :) The parking is FREE!!

There is very little game traffic to contend with compared to the beltway. Now the ride in the morning can be a little issue at the 14th Street bridge if there is a big event in the city but once past theat it is no problem getting to Landover. On the way out sometimes it seems there is somewhat heavy traffic on 50 but can't compare to the Beltway traffic.

Ok, I've always exited Arena drive and gotten on 95n, always been stuck in that traffic jam. Is there a better way for me to get to 95 north maybe outside of baltimore via backroads?

It's a bit out of the way but it could be less volume and moving.
