OK. The opening game is over. We Won..... Now,
CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON FROM THIS "JETSKINS" STUFF!!!!!

Am I the only one that is tired of hearing this over and over again. We still have a Damned good core with out the new Jets on the team but my goodness there are 49 other "REDSKINS!!!!" that help to make the team work also. Don't get me wrong....., I love having the new guys on board and they did do there thing in the opener,..................BUT....... they were not alone.

It may only be a media thing but I myself am tired of it. "JetSkins" is starting to sound damn near like "DeadSkins" in my book. We know who we are but I am just tired of the whole saying. We were the "GatorSkins" last season and now this.

The Redskins Owner, "The Daniel", kicked out money to bring them here and they are officially Redskins. That money spent was generated by blood, sweat, and tears of Past Redskins Players (and FANS money). Let's not water it down any. The Opening game is done. All of the hype is over.

Can we please be the mighty REDSKINS again?

What are your feelings about this?

Damn it! I thought I was done reading or hearing "Jetskins" until I opened this post. Thanks a lot LuvSkins17!

:D Just joking, I think that since the 'skins/jets game is over AND we won the "Jetskins" phrase will slowly fade away.

Agreed. It will be put to bed now. Especially when we start playing divisional games. No time for Jetskins nonsense when facing the Boys, Philly, or the G-Men.

And after our win Thursday, I feel like the foursome was so happy to be on this side of the ball and they all seemed somewhat proud to be Redskins. Coles wanted to beat teh Jets so bad, it was kinda funny. I think they would also appriecate losing the title as well as JetSkins.

It's done and over. The only way it gets brought up again is IF we play in the Superbowl against each other - AND the odds of that happening ????????????? 1,000,000.86 : 1

J ... E ... T ... S ....

'Skins
'Skins
'SKINS!

ok ... its out of my system

its time to gloat I think ... got nothing to do with the Jersey Jets ... its got to do with the Skins changing from everyone's favorite team to rag on ... to a team that can assess talent ... attract talent ... coach talent ... pay talent and deliver quality football ...

yeah you heard me ... its a 'Skins thing ... before too long everyone will be talking about Coles the Redskin ... Morton the Redskin ... Hall and Thomas the Redskins ...

Riggo ... Redskin! (ex-Jet)
Sonny ... Redskin! (ex-Eagle)
Butz ... Redskin! (ex-Cardinal)
etc. etc. etc.

People, that name will be with us until the end of the year, as long as Coles, Hall and maybe Morton keep produceing, we will be called the Jets Skins................

One thing I noticed that stood out was Coles interacting with the crowd during the game. Although the QB is the positional leader of the offense, I think in the next few weeks Coles will become the offensive leader as far as motivation and inspiration goes. We havn't seen his type explosiveness in a long time and I think the rest of the offense will use that to raise their own play.

32 years ago, a guy named George Allen was hired by Edward Bennett Williams and Jack Kent Cooke to be the head coach of the Washington Redskins. They got him from the Los Angeles Rams. As part of his reorganization, he gave up all of our future draft choices to sign members of his old team, saying, "the future is now". The team became known as the , "ramskins", and we went on to a record of 9-4-1 after a previous season of 6-8 under Bill Austin. Allen's Washington record wound up to be 67-30-1. So don't dispair over being called the, "Jetskins"; something very good may come of it.
