I'm having problems with my computer. Its acting very slow, even for dial up service. When I reboot my computer it says that I've lost some files.

So here it is. If you're using Windows 98 could you please look and see if you have files names, "msinfo.exe"? I'd appreciate it a lot.

If some one does have it, could you please email the files to me or hail2skins?

Thanks guys/gals...

You dont have a Win 98 Disk Mike?

I will look around pal. I have three pCS in the house, two are running XP and one is running 2000. Will the Windows 2000 Professional work H2S?

Mark, my friggen CD-rom is still not working either. lol

My wife suggested that we run Windows again. but I'm afraid I'll lose all of my graphics from my hard drive....

I know, I know. Its time for another computer. But its hard to go out and spend that much money on a want and not need....

CarMike, if you can get your CD-ROM working, there is something on the Windows 98 Disk called PC Restore that basically reinstalls Windows without losing any of your programs or files. If you want, I can walk you through it...lemme know.

Go to microsoft.com and see if you can download upgrades.

He really just needs one file called msinfo.exe. A 16-bit program must have installed it because new versions use the 32-bit version of msinfo(msinfo32.exe).

Mike, the 32-bit wouldn't work?

No because it's looking for msinfo not msinfo32.
