Got to love the top 3 rated offensive teams - LOL

Hope the Skins can pick up the passing game and stay where they are on the team leader boards in other areas.

GO SKINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Skins' offense was pretty highly rated after the 31-23 victory over the Cardinals in last year's opener. In fact, I believe Shane Matthews was NFC Player of the Week. So much for all that.

Hopefully we can maintain those stats. I actually expect us to this season. Don't know why but I do.

I hope Ramsey will be efficient. I would rather have him throw 16 TDs and have a 95 passer rating than 25 TDs and a 70 passer rating.

What possible reason could you have for that, GIG?

Stats don't mean anything. Donovan McNabb's lifetime passer rating isn't anything to be jealous of, but we'd all love to have him on the team, wouldn't we?

Look at Peyton Manning. 27 TDs, 23 INTs.

Now, look at Michael Vick. 16 TDs, 8 INTs. His team advances to the second round of the post season.

You wanna play the stat game with Manning and Vick? Jesus, do I even need to bring up the rushing numbers? Really, do I?

Show me 16 TDs and an 80 passer rating or 26 TDs and a 75 passer rating and I'll take the 26 TDs every time. Congratulations, you can throw slants and quick-outs all day and make your completion percentage look phenomenal. But did you put points on the board? That's the name of the game. Points. Completion percentage is important, but not as important as getting seven points for your team.

I could also bring up the fact that the Colts had no rushing threat, or that their defense isn't at the same level as Atlanta's (and for the love of God, don't point to the overall rankings and use those to tell me Indianapolis is better. It's not.).

Oh, and one more thing. That vaunted passer rating you're trying to prove is so much more valuable than TDs? Vick: 81.6. Manning: 88.8. Way to hammer your point home.

I don't care what the rating is as long as we can keep the INTs low. Just complete passes and the rest will take care of itself, but if I had to pick a rating...I'd pick 158.3

I think we will have a much better feel for our offense and defense after weeks 5 & 6, which is when we play the Beagles and Yucs in back to back weeks.
