Has Kenny Watson Signed??

Has he signed with anyone yet? I haven't heard anything on him since we released him. I wonder how he would do with another team and how they would use him. I doubt that Sultan McCollough will see much playing time this year. At best, he's a project for the future.

I can't see him sitting out all season. He has talent. I still can't believe he is not a Redskin. There are many backs in the NFL that are not as good as he is. I wish him luck (except if he plays for a team that will eventually play against us:D).

As for Watson....I really thought the Cowboys would be interested for two reasons.

1.) He's definately better than what they have on their team right now.

2.) Inside info.

NFL Teams are required, by league rules, to give a guaranteed year long min. contract to a player if he is signed before the first game week. The teams are not required to guarantee after the first weelend. That is why you will see some decent players, like Watson at home this week.

Only one RB was taken and that was Fu Maatu MaaFalla, here is why none of the others got picked up...

None of the players we felt would draw interest -- Kenny Watkins (Washington), Patrick Pass (New England) or Robert Edwards (Miami) -- were rescued from the unemployment ranks. It surprised us but, according to one highly respected running backs coach, many teams feel that a back needs a couple weeks to assimilate an offense and even needy clubs weren't willing to bring in a back the week before the season opener. "You watch, though, all those guys will be getting workouts next week," said the assistant. "They'll all be back in the league before the end of the month, I'd bet."

Lombardi made the switch in his last season, so what year was that, 1970?

The Uniforms were burgundy jerseys with several stripes on the sleeves and yellow pants with burgundy and white accents, not unlike the retros.

Thanks wasnt born til 74 so just missed it but sounds like theres plenty of reason to bring them back if only in the pre-season.To be sure Danny could see the marketing potential much like he did last year wiyh the uniforms.
