I didn't want to hi-jack Keinos thread so I started this one...
Every Sunday as I'm getting ready for game time, I put on one of my Redskin jerseys. And it seems every Sunday my wife laughs at me for wearing a Redskins jersey where no one will ever see it but our family. She thinks its stupid for me to do this and not go out.
Does anyone else have this problem at their house?
I tell her I don't give a ***SPENSORED*** what she thinks and to leave me a lone for the next 4+ hours.

My wife likes to eat solid foods, so, no, I don't have this problem. ;)

I get even more stick off my other half, especially as i wear my jersey on the sunday here in Oz and the NFL games don,t start until Monday morning Oz time.I have to set the dvd recorder on timer and watch the games later on monday night when i get home from work.Got to fly the colors and show the Skins support.

Not in my house. My wife puts on her Redskins gear every Sunday after church, regardless if we are going somewhere or not. As for me, I'm always in Redskins gear, whether its a hat, jacket, whatever, the only difference for Sunday is I start drinking earlier. ;)

Rich, you're a lucky man. My wife used to be a football fan. Funny how things change after they get you tied up for life, huh? :)

my wife and daughter have taken to asking me which player will go down with a season ending injury each week before the game. They also make fun of me when I wear my gear when I don't go anywhere.
I am going to miss them when I kill them

I don't always get dressed up in my Redskin attire each week, depends on if I feel the team needs some luck and has a reasonable chance of winning. But in some form or another I wear something Redskins, even if it's only my hat.
But the family knows that from Sun 10 AM (about to be 11 AM this Sunday for us Arizonians) until Sunday night football is over, they had best leave me alone with me and my tube. (Heck, I even organize going to church around watching football).

I don't wear Skins stuff every day like Rich, but after Church on Sundays, my wife and I put on a Skins T or a jersey. My wife got a kids size London Fletcher throwback. My son (7 months old) has a Redskins onesey and my daughter, who's 2, wears either a Moss jersey or a little Redskins cheerleader outfit. She actually watches the game too. It's great, she randomly yells, "Wedkins!" or throws her arms in the air and shouts "Ta-down!" I'm workin on getting her to do the "giant tomahawk chop fist down" thing but she's stickin with the TD routine. High expectations, I guess.

I wear Redskins gear almost every day of the week, keep in mind I am in the army so it is only at night once I change. And since I have been a fan since 1981 whenever I get gifts from family members or friends it is always Redskins apparel. But what my wife and me argue about is when she decides it is time to throw a Skins shirt away. I have to tell her that it is something you just do not do, no matter how worn an tattered it becomes.

considering i don't watch the game with anybody, i have to watch it alone, nobody tells me anythin because i tell them all to leave me alone on an island for the next 4 or 5 hours for a win, and if we lose don't talk to me til tuesday.
Thats for the away games, home games im at the staidum (then come home and watch the game as i recorded it on DVR and have a dvd copy of every game).
So, yea i wear my jersey, but nobody sees me cause i think i would kill someone if they were in the same room as me

I don't get why anybody would think it's funny to wear your gear at home while watching a game. I'm not wearing for anybody to see, I'm wearing it for myself. That said, I rarely watch a game by myself, I almost always have friends over or go to a friends when I'm not at the game. I am a social type of person and find it much more enjoyable in a group. Also, I tend to comment on nearly every play, which doesn't go over so well when I'm watching by myself, nor does singing HTTR, which I love to do after a win.

I can't wear my jersey because every time I do, the skins lose. I can't wear anything skins related until after the game, at that point I put on my Sean Taylor jersey. My wife doesn't say anything, so it's not a big deal I guess.

This is funny. Earlier today my wife comes into the TV room and asks me if it's time to throw some t-shirts away. [Goodwil] As soon as she said it I knew which shirts she was talking about. [we're making the switch over to winter clothes]
I just gave her my ***spensered*** look and she left me alone. It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have this conversation once a year.

I'm not sure what the wife wears during the game, she is usually not in the same room or house as I am.

Nah, guess I'm lucky we all put on Redskins apparel, even though my wife only watches sparingly, we're all on the same page lol...

Quit yapping about how bad your women are...MARRY BETER NEXT TIME... :D
PS: Hubbo actually wanted me to start cooking the chili before the game ended...in his defense he was hanging a storm door and didn't know we'd gone into overtime....and he ended up cooking it anyway...yep, no one can say I didn't marry well

I wore my #89 Moss All Pro jersey yesterday. Up till the point we were down 17-3. I took it off and threw it into the hall way. Not soon after we started our comeback. Coincidence? I don't think so...:)

This is dedicated to all of you
Very superstitious
Writings on the wall
Very superstitious
Ladder's 'bout to fall
Thirteen month old baby
Broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck
The good things in your past
When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, hey hey hey.
Ooh very superstitious
Wash your face and hands
Rid me of the problem
Do all that you can
Keep me in a daydream
Keep me goin' strong
You don't wanna save me
Sad is my song
When you believe in things you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, hey hey hey yeh.
Very superstitious
Nothing more to say
Very superstitious
The devil's on his way
Thirteen month old baby
Broke the looking glass
Seven years of bad luck
Good things in your past
When you believe in things that you don't understand
Then you suffer
Superstition ain't the way, no no no.

That's spookie. My daughter was wearing a Moss jersy. He made the catch right after she went down for a nap! She loves her "shiney shirt" (that's what she calls it). Too bad she can't wear it on gameday anymore. I'll let her wear it to daycare on Monday's. The owners are fans and even fly a Skins flag. Bringin the kids up right! :)

I commend you and the wife for finding such a good daycare to put your daughter in. :)
yeah, I think i'm going to save that jersey for game I attend. We are 2-0 with me there in the jersey. Just the opposite when watching on TV.

i don't have a husband during Skins games :lolbig: j/k
he's a Fin fan and watches sometimes with me and our 11 year old son but he usually can't handle that much noise and just goes off to ride his Harley!
I always wear my 45 jersey during games and some type of Skins gear most everyday
i also sport redskins tags on my car that are personalized with
LV EM and a magnetic GO SKINS on the tailgate

thanks for the laughs.
I had a pair of redskins socks - everytime i wore them we lost. they are gone. I figured I couldn't go wrong getting a riggins throwback jersey. Thought I was getting a good deal on ebay. The 44 is not centered in the front and I hate it. I have a Bailey jersey and wont wear it since he was traded. My kids are Moss and Cooley. I have gone to standard Redskins polo shirt.

See I find her weird for not wearing a jersey. No one is allowed in my house on game day unless they are properly dressed!
