I dunno. Maybe they are not happy with the play of Ohalete.

With the rumors of cutting Terrell, they are just seeing what is out there. No worries. Probably looking for a good special teamer to replace Terrell if he is cut.
I'm indifferent about Terrell now. As long as he isn't on D, i don't care. He's a good special teamer, so it's good that he's here. If his attitude has gone sour, let him go so the coaches aren't temped to put him in cuz of bad play or injury.
I think they must be getting some faith in Ohalete and Lott to be considering waiving Terrell.

I believe truant may be on to something. Perhaps Terrell doesn't feel like he's getting a fair shot at starting. [perhaps he should watch some of the game tape on himself] The coaches could possibly be looking for back up help only. I thought Iffy and Bowen played very well against the Jets.

except for Iffy's bonehead Late Hit that kept their TD drive alive.

Nothing wrong with working out players. Terrell needs to play better. He's been given more of fair shot in my mind.

From what I've heard...Terrell is a game away from being cut. Either he steps up, or he steps "out". He needs to be a difference maker on STs...and the FO is sending him a message by trying out his potential replacement.

That was a horrible call.

I think it has everything to do with Terrell's poor attitude at being benched. The players that were worked out are probably contingencies if Terrell gets cut and Franz gets moved up the depth chart consequently.
If he is a sour apple, I say let him go.

I dunno. I dont think it was that badof a call, I think the bottom line though from what I read is, Ohalete did not hear a whistle and they are taught that action is live until whistle is blown. But it was abonehead hit from a guy that was fired up.

Terrell is in the doghouse...

I know players are told to play until they hear a whistle, but Martin was clearly down and the umpire was right in front of Martin. Ohalete has to play smarter than that. That is the type of play that makes the coaches look for an upgrade.

I think the team is looking for special teams players who could fill in at safety. If they find one, they'll cut David Terrell.

they are always working players out ... so they say in interviews ... all through the season just to keep abreast of who they might bring in if an emergency arises and to discover the previously undiscovered diamond in the rough ...
it might not mean a thing

We've done this ever year on a weekly basis when the season begins. Bring in RBs, DBs, WRs, ....etc. - special teams types. Wouldn't make much out of it.

Yeah Patrick, they do bring in people all the time during the year, but when they bring in 3 safeties at the same time, that means something.

I don't think it's a problem with iffy and bowen. THey did nothing to raise any concern. Iffy's penalty should be chalked up to being pumped up. Will it happen again? I doubt it. We talked about our new found fire and heart. It just bubbled over a little bit there. All players are in a state of controlled wrecklessness. Sometimes you're too soft and are slow to make the hit, or you are a little to eager and hit late. If I were to choose either of those to be our problem, I will always go with the latter.

I am not worried about Iffys late hit, now if it continues then we might have to deal with it but how many times has Lavar gotten late hit calls and we all love the fire he shows.. maybe Iffy was triing to impress Bowen

I'm leaning towards the opinion of replacing Terrell on ST's if we find someone suitable.
Bringing in Safety's is a lot better then bringing in CB's. Yikes!

No problem with Iffy's hit. He was fired up out there and definitely made up for it with his play. In fact, Peter King threw in a little side note about Ohalete being a sleeper All-Pro pick.

I'm not sold yet on Iffy. From where we sit in the end zone, I could see two plays where if Vinny zips the ball in Iffy doesn't have time to recover and make the plays that he did, especially the play where the TE was wide open, but Vinny threw the ball a little behind him allowing Iffy to close.

So, your official stance is:
iffy on Iffy?

Sounds good to me.:D
Let's not forget, Terrell was clearly beating him throughout camp, and seemingly lost his job on one play.
