Since he knows the spurrier offense, do you think we'll be in trouble with Johnson leading atlanta?

He knows the offense, but not the defense he'll be going up against. Plus, I heard Spurrier say he tweaked his offense a bit this offseason.

I dont believe.
I read they are taking precautions this week as far as changing hand signals and things like that. They will be prepared.

I think that we should not count out his running ability. That Giants-Falcons game just stays in my mind.

I think Doug Johnson is a threat to get knocked out of the game by Lavar.

He is about the equal of Ramsey when it comes to scrambling, IIANM.

I would hope so, cause last year, we couldn't call what we saw and offense.

The Redskins have developed new hand signals for the Atlanta game so Doug Johnson won't be able to intercept them and pass them on to the Falcons' defensive coordinator.

won't that backfire on us to have to learn new had signals for one game?

The team has no choice, JSARNO. If we use the same hand signals Doug Johnson knows from Florida, our plays will be intercepted. [That probably means our passes will be intercepted, too.] Hand signals might very well be absolutely necessary for the Atlanta game because it will be played in a dome and quarterbacks frequently cannot hear the plays as they are piped into his helmet headset.

Is he a threat? Sure is. Every player on every team on every gameday is a threat.

Come out early, take control of the game, and silence the crowd. Then we can call the game in sign language.

On any given sunday, any player could be a threat...

...especially in their home stadium.
I don't put too much weight into Doug Johnson knowing the "spurrier offense". Spurrier has revamped it quite a bit since Johnson was a Gator. Plus...Spurrier is usually pretty paranoid about play stealing (hence the reason why he covers his mouth on play calls), so I'm sure he won't incorporate identical hand signals from his Gator days.

Rob Johnson wouldn't be a threat if he graduated from Al Qaeda training camp and was wearing 20 pounds of explosives

He is seriously using the same hand signals he used when he was in Florida? I don't find that to be too football intellegent. (at least he's try to prevent something, better than jst assuming like he did last year.)

Jsarno's right here. All the Florida Gators that are in the NFL and you are going to use the same signals? Doesn't sound too bright.
Well we could pull some tricks outta the bag and play a West Coast offense. Apparently Spurrier is trying everything (martyball and Gibbsball). Yea, Spurrier is smart and we will probably start by running the ball.
He is not a huge threat. At Florida, my pops and I used to have a nickname for him bc of our disdain for his lack of grey matter and questionable decision making.......Dougie.
Dougie comes into the equation when pressure is put on him. He tends to force throws late over the middle and if we can get a good pass rush on him, he could be ripe for a 3-4 pick day. From watching him this last game, it seems that Reeves has coached him up a little and he doesn't seem to do all the same things as he did while at UF (keeping in mind he was the only QB under SOS who NEVER won a conference title while starter in his tenure).
I know there is still some "Dougie" left over and if we push the right buttons, we could be prime for a blowout against these Vick-less Falcons.

If our running plays can produce 4.5+ YPC, then by all means, run the damn ball 50 times!

I think The Visor should recruit the Funky four to do different dances to signal plays in. Dougie would never expect it. The Funky Four, Like the Navajo code talkers would be heroes.
