Many of us around here have said for some time that the hopes for this season and for the future rest on the shoulders of Jason Campbell. Yesterday I believe he proved that our future is indeed bright...at least at the QB position.
And I totally agree that with Sean Taylor, we win this game.

We just lost to the freakin' girls in a game we had to have to keep some slim playoff hopes alive. A game we SHOULD have won. Today I'm not happy about anything. I'm not happy about our pathetic cover 2. I'm not happy that we play our CBs 8 yards off the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 4. I'm not happy we run on 3rd and 4 and attempt 50 yard FGs on 4th and 1/2 yard. I'm not happy we consistently drop easy interceptions. I'm not happy we throw an easy pick in the waning minutes to blow a game winning drive. I'm not happy we refuse to blitz at all in the 4th quarter of a game. I'm not happy our defensive packages don't contain any press man coverage. I'm not happy our front 4 is incapable of generating any pressure whatsoever. I'm not happy our oLine can't keep a pass rush off our QB.
And I'm absolutely disgusted that I had to see a damn girls flag flying from an SUV on the way into work today.

Do I feel good about JC? Yes, he is clearly developing in an environment without the tools other QBs have because of no tall receiver, injuries to top WRs, and a banged up O Line. That said, I am tired of "IF" games. We would have won if we went for it on 4th and 1, or if LF who was covering TO alone in the deep middle had turned the right way, or...
JC has proven that he can attack in less than desirable circumstances. But 1 game has not convinced me that the manacles have been removed on a permanent basis, or that trying to outscore opponents who can score at will, it seems, on a conservative D whose second 1/2 performance is woeful, is a recipe for winning.
