redskins.com has a report on Thomas:
Randy Thomas was back on the Redskins Park practice fields on Wednesday, working along-side line-mates for the first time since he suffered a torn triceps injury in Week 2.
Thomas, wearing shoulder pads, took part in some individual work, but did not participate in any contact drills.
During the walk-through portion of practice, Thomas lined up with the second team offensive line.
Jason Fabini continued to get the bulk of work at right guard.
The timetable for Thomas's return is early to mid-December. His availability for this Sunday's game against Tampa Bay remains unlikely.

But maybe next Sunday. This makes sense considering the release of Demulling

nice to see he has progressed alittle above the timetable.
i don't think he plays this sunday, i think he has a 60 percent chance to play next sunday, and he will definitely be back against Chicago

Yeah, I doubt he plays this Sunday. God, am I looking forward to when he finally does, though. He'll give us such a huge boost.

Absolutely. This is the best news I've heard all season.

I changed the title of this thread. He won't be playing on Sunday. Maybe another week or 2. Most likely 2 more.

IMO ......... I don't want to see him on the field until he's 99.89%.

*At the dinner table today*
Grandma: "Trevor, what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?"
Me: "I'm thankful Randy Thomas is practicing again and that hopefully he'll be pulling in a couple of weeks and knocking Antonio Pierce on his arse."
Mom: "Trevor, We don't use those kind of words around grandma"

Then why not wait until Thomas is ready, which is not yet? IMO DeMulling's release has more to do with the progress of Alexander, who will be available behind Pucillo in case of need, the position DeMulling filled (and contributes in jumbo packages and on specials, which DeMulling didn't).

I'd be happy to see him in a jersey on the sidelines vs. a tee shirt. This is a real emotional lift.

Best news I have heard regarding injuries and this team for a while. He is such a pivital player for the offense. I just hope they don't bring him back too soon and have this injury carry over into next season.

IMO Wade will improve quite a bit when he is next to Thomas. It's like getting improvement at 2 positions.

said its a nagging injury, and his official status for the game is questionable.
I don't think he will go, which is dissapointing.
Then we would be down to our-
Backup rg
3rd string rt
Backup corner
Backup safety
no thrash
gimpy moss/ARE
gimpy C. Griffin
Gimpy Kendall
rough go agianst a division winner, and team that jus put up 30 plus points

I don't mind playing Heyer tomorrow. Some of us think he should be starting over Wade anyway.

I don't mind playing Heyer tomorrow. Some of us think he should be starting over Wade anyway.:) agree, lets see what the kid can realy do! Not to try and start a Heyer bandwagon but the guy played damn well vs Dallas. Watched some of the NYJ vs Dallas game and the Boys d-line broke up aprox. 35% of the Jets plays. Lets roll the dice and find out what the kid can or can not handle. Plus I'd like to see what Bugel can do with a young guy instead of vets, as in can he?
