I've never been and I'm leaving for a week on Friday. I was curious if anyone knew any must see places or somewhere I could get good deals for show tickets.

thanks,
Jon

Yeah, stop by my house and drop off $2000. I will then kick you in the nuts a few times and when I am done I will give you your money back, its better than what the casinos will do haha. Just joking. Let me know what you like to do, where you will be staying and I will keep checking back to this thread and give you some ideas. There are a lot of things to do here. Happy Thanksgiving and GO SKINS !!!!

Vegas is a blast if you have control. If you want to watch football on Sunday, check the LV Hilton , when there are no concerts planned they show all the games in the showroom and its a fun atmosphere. On the ne corner of Flamingo/Jones is a bar called Jacksons that a bunch of Redskins fans go to to watch the game. FIrst timers always need to go see the fountains at the Bellagio, the Volcano at the Mirage, the TI Sirens at the TI , and trip to the top of the Stratosphere....the 1st three are free attractions.

I hear you can get into the David Copperfield magic show pretty easily these days! ;)

2 good shows to check out are "Spamalot" if you like Monty Python stuff...it is hilarious, and/or any of the Cirque de Soleil shows...Mystere is the least expensive I think.

I stayed at the MGM Grand, the City of Entertainment, with my friend and his parents when I was 16.

There's not much to do there for a 16 year old, but once I turn 21, it's number like, three on my list of places to go.

Numbers one and two would probably be an all-inclusive resort trip to the Bahamas/Jamaica/Cancun/wherever, followed by Europe for Amsterdam and Octoberfest, but aside from that, that's it!

You'll have a blast. Keep a woman near your side to prevent you from spending too much money. Or, don't keep her near your side and go hog wild in the strip clubs. Thats what I plan on doing.

just got back and finished up $300 with huge swings both ways all week long. I went to just about every casino and I think I'm sold on the Ventian. By far the best service and winning there also helped. I was shocked at how expensive everything was despite winning I spent close to $2000 in 7 days. Overall it was a blast and I can't wait to go back again.

Glad you had a good time. Next time you come, if it is football season we will go check out the 'Skins.

My advice is this:

Everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, is just a campaign slogan. If you, say, rob a sports memorabilia collector, chances are, that action is not going to stay in Vegas. On the upside, if you happen to buy (I mean rent) a hooker, that will stay in Vegas since the world's oldest profession is legal there.

Technically, prostitution is not legal in Las Vegas...but it is in a county about an hour outside of the city. But that really doesn't stop the "escourt industry" from thriving and doing basically the same thing, although technically illegal.
