I don't even remember an incompletion thrown Coles way in the second half. He needs to get the ball. It opens up so many more options if he does.

Yep, definitely need to get him the ball as much as possible.

Apart of me was kinda happy that we didn't push the issue on getting Coles the ball in the second half. When we needed to run the ball, Spurrier kept calling running plays. Of course I want to see Coles score us TDs. But, we needed to run the ball in the second half to eat away the clock. Which is what Spurrier did.

I agree with Carmike, but for a little bit of a different reason. While i was glad to see the eating of the clock, i still had a feeling that the gloves were still on the machine. We only took one shot deep and that would have been six if the block was picked up.
There were a lot of uncertainties and it feels like those are starting to ease away. I think the offense will start openning up more and Coles will be a big part of that.

Running the ball this week would be a good thing BUT, Atlanta watches films and will be ready for the run. ..... That being said, because they play mostly from a 3/4 and variation of that, this IS the week to put the ball in the air more. To Coles good, BUT Coles as a decoy might even be better. This could very well be a big game for RG and McCants.

I think we need to focus on getting the ball more to Gardner as well. Teams will game plan to stop Coles and he will see a lot of double coverages. He will beat quite a few of them, but Rod will be a lot more likely to go single covered and I think he can be really solid forcing defenses to chooose which WR to lean towards covering. That said, I do think we need to get Coleslaw the ball in the second half.

Yes Coles is the man. With both safeties being out, this may be a great opportunity for Patrick Johnson and Darnerein McCants to step up and have a big game as well.

We probably should see alot of 3 receiver sets. Force them to play man defense. That would be in our favor.

the way I hear it, SS is letting his new O-cordinator have a lot of input on play calling. This totally new to SS, he never had coaches in his ear telling what they see and think in the past.
I think getting input from some one in the coaches box will make SS a better play caller.

Funniest and most unexpected comparison I've seen in a long, long time. I didn't see that one coming, Kenny!

If you never saw Ramsey play at Tulane, you haven't seen his arm. When The Visor finally lets him air it out, there will be alot of jaws hitting the floor. And with the Falcons trouble at the DB position and Coles showing some range, I think we might see one or two DEEP balls this weekend. I sure hope so!

Remember what the Skins did last year in Preseason against Back ups in the secondary. And we have more talent this year.

Actually I am quite shocked that the first week and come and gone and there really was no bomb. The 48 yarder to Coles was a broken play. SS really hasn't take the big shot.

By broken, do you mean because Ramsey had to dodge a defender? I wouldn't consider that a broken play.

Broken because it would have been a TD had Trung picked up the blitz. It was a stop and go (bomb) that turned into a 'duck and chuck':D
