I've just thought that Champ is from Georgia and the falcons are a team on the rise, don't you think he would love to play there?

I WANT Champ to be a redskin, but as some concerns were issued about him wanting to be part of our glorious organization ans as i don't see the bucs/igles/gints/rams/pats/bills/fins/jets sign him iwwas thinking maybe for the homegrown falcons?

Seebs, I think Atlanta is a natural fit for Champ. He's a homegrown hero. His contract expires at the end of this season. Atlanta badly needs help in the defensive backfield. If Champ ever makes it on to the open market I have no doubt the Falcons would pursue him aggressively.

I guess it is up to the Redskins to ensure Champ never makes it on to the open market.

Damn - HERE WE GO AGAIN - Now we a sending him off to Atlanta. This Champ issuse is really going to stick in your craw for some of you. Get over IT - Focus on the issues at hand and hopefully that will be a sucessful season WITH CHAMP!!

Get over it? We're talking about losing the best cornerback in the league and you want me to get over it? Not likely. I happen to think we'll hang on to Champ, but I'm not going to pretend it wouldn't be a disaster if we lost him.

The question could very well be Lavar or Champ, to be honest. I'm not sure we can afford to keep both, as much as the Redskins want that to happen.

So who does the FO keep ?
LaVar or Champ?

Both are die hard Redskins that have not complained at all. I love the fact that Champ has not held out since signing his contract and goes about everything professionally, and Lavar is the same way. I do believe that it is easier to fill in at linebacker than it is at cornerback, where your lack of talent can be more easily exposed.

As a result, I'd have to say that you'd spend the money on Champ, but bet that Snyder spends the money on Lavar. And I'm okay with that as well.

We've been here and done this poll. For me there is no question, Lavar is the Redskins.

Penn, I guess its just a little refresher course for those of us that are new to hR.

Champ is probably the most valuable player the Redskins have. Losing him or Lavar would be catastrophic and there is no reason it need happen. Anyone who tells you both cannot be fit under our salary cap doesn't know what he/she is talking about. We can keep them both. We should keep them both.

Spence - What I'm saying is, let's deal with it when the time comes - after the season is over. Champ's NOT going anywhere this season so let's concentrate on things as they are right now. He's one of our DBs and hopefully he'll play up to his caliper and then some. As PSF stated " We've been here and done this poll."

I always thought Champ would go to Detriot. His brother is there and he's already expressed a interest in playing with his brother. Plus Detriot has the cap room and the need for DBs.

Ah, but Atlanta's owner has the nickname Blank Check for a reason. He sent a draft pick to Buffalo for Price, remember? I could see him doing the same for Champ if we tag him.

When I visited the Falcons Official Board, they were all talking about signing Champ next year. ATL seems to have a better chance than anyone else.

This is what I meant, who has the best chance to sgn him, if we can't do it.

Atlanta has the means and the need. I think Champ would go to Atlanta and wait 4 years for his bro to go FA.

Champ will be here. FO won't let Champ go anywhere. They'll cough up a 20mil SB. If he does go somewhere else whoever gets him will pay dearly. Not just 2 1st rd. draft picks but something in the mold of the hershel walker trade. Whoever signs him will have to overcompensate us with probably 3 1sts & a couple of 2nd's,3rds & 4th's over a 3 to 4 years span+ a player. Too much for one player in my opinion. Mr. Blank check pockets is not deeper than Mr. Snyder's. He'll be a redskin.
