It's what he would have wanted. For Sean, let's win out and make the playoffs. It would be so inspirational.

R.I.P Sean

It would be really special if they could find a way to do it. The guys gotta really dig deep down and win out for him.

Yes, it's what he would have wanted, but right now I really don't care what happens with football.

I'm just going to enjoy watching our guys play for the rest of the season. Just suiting up for the game this Sunday against the Bills is a feat in itself.

I'm not going to stand up and cheer right now but yes, it would be something special.

Of course, scoring a touchdown this weekend is going to be emotionally trying enough.

And then what if we get another defensive touchdown this year....

It's going to be rough, no matter what happens. There are going to be a lot of moments full of conflicting emotions.

Whatever happens, I am fine with.

It's always nice when we win, and I imagine come Sunday it would feel pretty special to walk away with a victory for Sean. So five of them would be quite an experience.

It would be better with our #21, though.

See, I don't really get that. I'm saddened by his death, but his passing is going to affect me football-wise a lot more than it will personally, as I will assume it will for most everyone on this board.

Many times this season I had the thought that this team needed something that would bring it together as a unit, something that would make them play with heart and guts. As horrific as it is, maybe what happened down in Miami is the thing that will finally pull these guys together and get them to play as brothers-in-arms, with some fierceness and determination.

I think that's an impossible amount of pressure to put on the players. How about just "play like Sean FOR Sean".

I always heard people say that if the team had 11 Sean Taylors, they would be amazing. They all haven't played up to their abilities so far this year. Sean Taylor is one of the few who did.

The best tribute they could give him is to PLAY like HE PLAYED the game. Win or lose, that would make me proud, and I'm sure it would make Sean proud.

yep...I just want a win vs. Buffalo in his honor...I will worry about the rest later on.

Sorry, but today I just can't concentrate in other things... football is one of them. Tomorrow may be different. Hopefully will be different.

I agree with you. The tradegy is heart wrenching though. Football wise I'll root for them with same zeal as always this Sunday.

While I totally agree, there isn't a player on the team that has near his physical ability (IMO). I think he was the single most physically gifted player I've ever seen, which is why I was critical of him at times. I knew he was capable of better than being an extra LBer at the LOS like last season.

Man, I just don't know about this weekend...I feel so numb right now. I'll watch the game, but if my mood doesn't change, I think I'll just sit there with no emotion. I'll never forget him. He played so hard and for the next 10 years, anytime I see whose starting at FS, I'm gonna think of him.

If they lose the next 5 games I will be OK with it. These guys deserve an enormous amount of time to deal with this tragedy. These men are together day in and day out and just lost a member of there family, and it is a family. I dont even want to imagine what there going through, because i never even met the guy and I have not been able to keep myself from tearing up time and time again today. This is truely a sad day for Redskins fans, but even moreso for the people who knew him and loved him. I dont know how im going to be able to keep myself from crying every time the game comes on the rest of the season. God what an awful tragedy.

It seem perfectly logical for a team to say lets win for Sean but that seems like such a movie cliche.

who knows how it all plays out if they play of course I want them to win but it won't have the same significance as before.

I can't blame the team if they tanked and lost out really. The death of a teammate that everyone really loved is a blow mentally and emotionally.

I think going to the funeral could be a real blow to everyone as well, seeing that strong athletic friend sitting in the casket at peace could be alot for the team to handle. Could have players questioning their own mortality.

That could destroy the focus of any player. Something thats required to win in this league.

I think, with the heart and character of this team, the guys will come out and play some very inspired ball. Especially when they see and hear the support our fanbase has not just for Sean, but in support of the team itself in this sad, sad time!

I don't mean to be a wet blanket, but who in God's name can think of football right now?

I just keep bargaining with God, with no effect. I don't care about football anymore right now.

I love the Redskins, but the season is lost for me now. I wasn't always a ST believer, but starting last year, I became a ST convert. I'm just not sure how the organization recovers from this before the offseason.

I'm on board with this.

Also, I've heard of people on other boards (a Cowboys board, actually) saying that they are voting to send Sean posthumously (jesus christ it sounds weird to type that) to the Pro Bowl, to show how respected he was among the league.

I personally think that is awesome, and was thinking of doing it myself and wanted to let you all know that.

Now with this I don't what to expect from the team the rest of the season with this bizarre heartbreaking year.

I just hope the team as a whole finds some way to deal with this tragedy knowing they have to take the field this Sunday. As a fan, I don't care if they win or lose, and I can only imagine how hard it's going to be for some of the players to focus on a football game. If the team wants to express themselves by winning one for Sean, then I'm for that too.

Redskin football won't be the same for me this year. I will encourage the coaches to do the best they can and they win, fine. If not, I understand.

I think this team has the ability to do so, but after losing a player like Sean Taylor, who knows how everyone is going to react.

we juist need to play with emotion and see how it goes from there
