Have you seen the commercial?

Do you think he has no logo on his jersey because of tradmark or because McDonalds dosen't want to offend anyone with the "Redskin" Indian head.

The jersey itself doesn't have the logo, so I don't think that is it. I noticed that blank jersey the first time I saw that commercial and thought it was weird.

Come to think of it, that isn't the first time I've seen an athlete in a commercial with a blank jersey. I can remember a Bettis commercial with a blane Steelers jersey and a Michael Jordan commercial with a blank Bulls jersey.

There are licensing issues involved with commercials like this. Perhaps McDonalds and Lavar did not get NFL permission to use a licensed NFL jersey in the ad.

Something like that - McDonalds does not have any licensing agreement with the NFL thus can not have a player wear/display a logo in a commercial that would indicate an iffiliation with a NFL team.

Point taken about McDonalds not having a license with the NFL, but do you guys think it also has something to do with Lavar not being a meber of the NFLPA?

This is the issue I was going to raise too. I'll bet it comes into play as well.

Peter Boulware did/or does a Subway commercial locally in Baltimore. Same deal. Black tape over the NFL logo and the Ravens logo on his chest. That's just how the company gets away without paying NFL licensing fees.

Good answers fellas, now I can watch it and not think some sort of political statement is trying to be made.

"Arrington" as well as "56" are both property of Lavar as long as it pertains to the Redskins. (Hence the reason why Lavar is never #56 in Madden)
