I got me a copy of that commercial for the game where the Jets guys are talking smack and LC is just playing it cool. I'm going to keep it forever so I can watch it everytime the Jets come into mind and I can smile because it was US that came out on top and not the trash talkers.

Coles really was cool to allow himself to be the butt of that joke. I never heard any of the Jets fans that dissed him for his anti-Jets talk commend him for being a good sport about that commercial.

I think that DJ Stouty said it best on the JETS forum some time before the game. He basically said that:

Coles was cool for allowing himself to be the butt of the joke......BUT 29.5 YPC (in pre-season) IS NOT A JOKE!!!! Man, I was LMAO.

It was a funny commercial. What should jet fans have done? Start threads to say what a great guy he is? It's over now as we don't play again for 4 more years so now I wish all my ex-Jets the best of luck.

Yeah, that's exactly what they should have done IMO. If you guys can post every negative article where you felt he was unfairly ripping your team, deeming him classless to use you all's favorite term, then why not bend over backwards when he allows himself to used in such a manner?

Actually he said some nice things a few weeks back and I did mention it.

i believe there were no hard feelings between the players but bad blood between the management and coaching staff

Okay, bottom line. Their FO screwed up not ours. We're in week two of the season. We're playing Atlanta. I'm concentrating on them now.

By the way, Kenny is correct. Jet's fans ripped Coles a new one because they thought he was dissing them. Well, that commercial made him look bad before the game. He allowed them to do and that's good sportsmanship.

Okay, bottom line. Their FO screwed up not ours. We're in week two of the season. We're playing Atlanta. I'm concentrating on them now.

That is yet to be determined. After week 1 Coles was great for a half, Hall had a very good game, Thomas and Morton both struggled. I think it will turn out to benefit both teams, you guys now have better players at those positions than you had last year and we have enough cap space to take care of our important FAs.

Well, that commercial made him look bad before the game. He allowed them to do and that's good sportsmanship.

You do have more cap room, but I find it hard to swallow that Bradway didn't consider Coles and important FA.
