i say we sign lavar to along term deal..... slap the francise tag on champ get the 2 first rounder!!!! then sign smoot to a long term deal and draft a corner with one of the first rounders.... lavar is a beast and he is now my favorite player!!!!!:moon2:

sounds liek a good plan, but i am not sold on Smoot yet. Smoot needs to prove worth in 2003. Not sure we need to be so emphatic either on drafting a corner to replace Champ. I think we have a good one here in Bauman. I woudl liek to see us address DLine and Safety.

I don't know how you can make that assessment. We have yet to see Bauman on any receiver the caliber that Smoot faces every week. Bauman plays in the nickel, which means he faces 3rd and 4th wideouts.
