Has anyone else noticed that some teams are keeping the 21 on the helmets and others have already removed them? What does this say about the teams that have removed the memorial 21?
A couple in particular I noticed (that removed the stickers) were Buffalo, the Jets, the Patriots.
A few that I noticed that kept them on are, Dallas, Minnesota, Chicago, Pittsburgh.
If anyone remebers any other teams in either category, please fill in...
Also what are your thoughts? I think it is extremely disrespectful!

At some point it is time to move on. The Redskins should continue to wear the patch and decal all season long, but the other teams honored him for a whole week of games, after if they want to move on, so be it.

The giants didn't have them on either.

Every team paid their respects last week, so I'm not going to single out teams for not wearing them the following week...or throughout the season. For all we know, for some teams this decision may have come down to the equipment managers who actually have to apply the stickers. No need to bash those who aren't wearing them longer than one week...

Exactly it. The media has already moved on from Taylor. We can't expect every team in the league to feel the same sorrow.

its no disrespect at all. it was a one week deal for the other 31 teams in the nfl, there is no precedence saying they have to or even should wear them the rest of the season. its a non-issue

I actually didn't expect NFL teams to wear the patch past last week anyway. It is time for the NFL to move on and have no problem w/teams not wearing the patch. However, the Redskins should continue to do so and I know they will.

Yes, I agree. I think it makes it hard for us to see teams moving on though.. it's makes it a reality that Sean is really gone... I still can't believe this happened to him..

This isn't even an issue.

I never expected anyone to have them on for the remainder of the season except for the Redskins. It's not disrespectful the least little bit. If any team never put them on, they yeah, that would have been disrespectful. Every team paid their respects to Sean Taylor.
Time for Redskin fans to get over it.

Agreed. There was a thread complaining about the Pats' not having them, but they had the decal for their fallen teammate, who no one else in the NFL had on I believe.

Wasn't it agreed that we would be wearing the patch for the rest of the year while the other 31 teams were only doing so for one week.
Were there any teams wearing the 21 this week?

There were actually quite a few that still had the 21 stickers on there helmets. As a lot of you mentioned, teams are going to take them off, but I do have a much better feeling for teams that are leaving them on. I think even the Cowboys and the Giants had them still.

Ok and its been said before and ill say it again. WHO CARES If some teams chose to keep them on thats great. Some may not have kept them on and thats up to them. The WHOLE NFL honored him last week. The NFL doesnt need to keep honoring him week after week. At some point the whole situation has to be gotten over.

The Dolphins went a step further and played the entire game with 10 men on the field.....or at least it seemed like it.

up to the teams.
who cares what others do. its a grieving process for those that knew him, and those that loved him, and those fans of his. Who cares what John doe on the other team does. as long as you do what you need to do to honor the man and help you get over the senseless tragedy, then its ok by me.
