What time change? This was the originally scheduled Sunday Night game.

Could be playing in a snowstorm...

Thank you, it's changed.

Thank you, it's changed.

No problem, there seems to have been some confusion over this, as NBC was advertising this as a flex game, which it is but was never flexed.

Anyhow, good write-up! As I mentioned before, there is a good chance for a Nor'easter this weekend, so this game could be played in a driving snowstorm. If that is the case, we had better find that elusive running game.

Another thing to factor is that the Giants have clinched the wildcard spot and really have nothing left to play for, other than trying to avoid being flat going into the playoffs. We can win this thing early by bringing the intensity and that should be one of the primary goals of the coaching staff.

Basically, our playoffs have started. We are on single elimination, so we really need to turn it up a notch right now.

Nice write-up. Thank you. With Collins and the more aggressive offensive scheme in the mix, I'm at square one and unable to guess what might happen on Sunday night. Todd's from the Boston area, so at least he's used to nasty weather.

Extended forecast from WNBC: Rain or snow likely. Windy. High 35, Low 25.

Disregard the bolded paragraph, as the Giants haven't clinched yet. We are going to have to earn this one in all 4 quarters.

The Redskins will have to play solid ball on both sides to pull this one off. I can't say I have the confidence in them doing it but I'll be there; or here rooting them on.

I hate playing in the Meadowlands... hopefully our 10 days of rest will give us an excellent gameplan, and Eli pulls an Eli. I also hope Randy is good to go.

we need to continue to blitz and we should also bump the beaten up plaxico burress off the line

i think this one is relatively simple..

the defense has to do EVERYTHING possible to take plaxico away from eli.. he is their scoring threat and despite his bad ankle he is playing at a tremendous level. moreover, even if he has a bad half, he still is now mature enough to come back strong the second half. they need to let springs dog him the whole game and provide him with deep help. the giants will do what they can to get him on torrence.. cant let it happen

they dont have ward, whom we made into an all pro look alike. jacobs is more our speed because they can pile onto him from every angle.. one fumble and he will be in queeg's doghouse for the rest of the season so they have to rip at him

we stop plaxico, i think we will win.

on offense, i think that collins is the ideal qb for us.. he gets rid of it fast.
they will max protect and send only 2-3 receivers out. collins needs to hit them and move the chains. i think we will substitute short passes for the running game and just work it down the field that way..

going to be another nail biter and woe to the team that turns it over...

Gotta play all four quarters. No excuses with the long week. I think Collins will do fine. I'd actually like to run a tad more this week, catch their pass rushers flat footed. CP could have a big day. The New York Football Giants' defensive backfield hasn't looked as sharp as it did earlier in the year. I'm confident in our defense. Keep an eye on Shockey all game and contain Plexiglass--we'll do fine.

Nice analysis H2S. I agree our oLine vs. their pass rush is the key to this game. Although, you mentioned Wade v. Strahan. I thought Wade had been supplanted by Heyer?

I think we play Springs on plexiglass man up the entire game. Period. After the dallas debacle GW himself regretted not playing Springs man up on TO. I doubt he makes the same mistake twice.

We can win this one if Collins plays well. He will have all 700 plays to work from.

We can't lose another game so I think this opens up the playbook on both sides of the football.

totally agree. we let TO beat us... plaxico will do the same thing if we let him.
let's see just how stubborn GW is..

I pray to God GW doesn't get into his cover-2 shell. That is just asking Eli & Plaxico to beat us. Eli gets rattled when he's pressured so GW needs to dial up effective blitzes like he was using against Chicago.

Collins did a pretty good job of getting rid of the ball last week hopefuly he can continue that to marginalize Strahan/Umenyiora.

I'd line Landry up across from Burress on a few running downs just to give him a nasty jam at the snap. The have Landry release him to Springs and playshallow zone. Granted you can't do this too frequently as the Giants have other threats, but PB has been gimpy all year. We need to physically beat him up.

On offense I would run the ball constantly and take maybe ~ 5 shots deep? But I'd start running and only throw if they force me into 3rd and long (aside from the deep shots to Moss). Hopefully we can limit Collins' attempts.

I think Springs is physical enough and capable enough to play plexiglass in some bump and run. I'd prefer we use LL and MW [depending on which one blitzes] to pummel shockey at the line. Don't give this guy any free releases down the middle.

I also agree that we need to run some to keep the backers and DBs honest. But, I have very little faith in our running game right now. I'm afraid the only way we can effectively move the ball is through the air. At some point I'd expect Moss to come up with a big game and this seems like as good a time as any. . .
