i'm going with Smoot based on last night and the last month...it was tough to throw last night to begin with, but he had Burress locked down all night. the TD saving play was spectacular.

tough call.. all the above were factors in the outcome

gotta give it to the o line.. that was possibly the best d line inthe nfl they were facing (at least as far as sacks and pressure are concerned) and they had a slow qb to protect.. they did that and more. they opened holes for portis and we ran RIGHT with authority.. dont think that pierce and the rest of the defense wasnt taken by surprise by that..
a great, great job of bugel getting them ready.. they had the right extra blockers (alexander, yoder, portis, sellers) in there at all times and they were more physical than the giants at the point all night

The O-line.

They protected Collins...they opened up running lanes for Portis...and the tackles subdued one of the best DE-tandems in the league.

I've been very tough on Portis. But last night he showed why he could be one of the best RBs in the NFL. He hit the holes with authority. Didn't go down on first contact.

CP is my choice.

i voted o-line although it was a great showing from lots of players -- CP really ran like a man with something to prove last night - it was just great to see such an effort from everyone

For me its the O-line. They kept Collins clean and opened up the holes for CP and Betts versus a formidable Gints DL.

I went with CP, but 1A is the offensive line. Pre-game I thought Giants would rack up at least 5 sacks....at least

Portis, but if Smoot didnt show up like he did last night the game could of been very different.

Fred Smoot played the game of his life, although Portis did have his best game of the season. I go with Smoot.

i voted other just to be different.

my vote is for suisham. he kicked three tough field goals in those swirling windy conditions. including one of like 49 yards. you can argue the two TDs would have been enough to win the game. but you have to like that suisham didnt leave any points on the field in horrible kicking conditions. now if he could learn to make the simple ones at home, he kicks pretty darn good on the road, but poor at home. he had made 15 in a row on our 4 outta 5 week road game trip earlier this year...

I voted the o-line, but want to include Portis and Sellers as blockers as well. They flat out dominated last night.

I could have voted a couple different ways and all are worthy choices but Smoot gets the love this week.

All your nominees played well, but I went other. Carter showed well in part because Montgomery played so well, stoping the run up the middle and getting consistent pressure in Manning's face. The Gints had to double team him, freeing up Carter and hurrying up Manning (a factor IMO in those many drops).

Great team effort, but I voted Portis.

Not only were some of his runs just amazing, but so was his blocking.

I still am in awe of that play where he picked up a stunting D-lineman and just stoned him.

Voted Other, but it's shared vote for Heyer and Montgomery:), the other choices are too hard to pick between. Not to throw a monkeywrench in to the poll but the other choices I expect great play out of at all times. These 2 guys realy stepped up to the challenge in my eyes. I watch the Jints weekly so I'd like to vote Heyer for the overall great job he did vs the Gappy/Tuck combo, these two guys can take over a game, and that the kid (with help ) did not shy away from them scored points in my book. For an undrafted fink the kid kicked ass. As far as Chris controlling the equaly dangerous Osi, I expect that. Was very impressed by Montgomery, month and a half ago am on record as saying he was playing as Griffs equal, and thought maybe in my own mind was giving him too much credit, but the game the other night the kid played like a bear!:) ps thought about Shawn with his fgs, but the 1st (long) was vacuum assisted and one other the others was put on course by a well timed gust! Shout outs to Frost for the bullet and the roll. And Smoot did an excellent job hindering the Giant's chief weapon.
