Everyone is talking about the cowboys may rest some of there starters Sunday. I kind of think they will play. There is only 53 players on the roster so you can only rest so many players. If the saints and the vikings who play at 1:00 do not win. We are in the playoffs. So the question is do we not play some of the redskins starters Portis, Moss etc.

the vikings play at 4 also i think, and i think we definetly play our starters, unless were up 35-0 in the 4th, then we can rest sum ppl. other than that, its full go.

vikes play the same time we do..

the skins are playing well and have momentum.. no reason to put that at risk. it was tough enough to get things rolling the right way.

dallas is another story. they have 2 weeks between games. i expect if they can easily put the skins away, they will. but i expect also that they will rest anyone who is dinged

losing TO was a wake up call for them.. for them to potentially lose someone like barber or flozell or witten would be simply stupid.. i doubt they will play many starters inthe second half

We are running on vapors, brother. The second we take the foot off the pedal, the engine will die. Just kick back and enjoy the ride, while it lasts.

If they play Romo, we need to send blitzes and attack him early so that they become afraid of the possibility of him getting hurt. And just because it works better for us when we blitz.

And then KEEP on blitzing, cause Brad Johnson ain't scrambling no where.

Neither the vikings nor the saints are playing very good teams, Denver and Chicago respectively, so we have to go out and dominate with our starters and win. Dallas is stacked, even their backups could (possibly) give us some trouble, so we can't risk it.

With Tavaris Jackson playing QB im not to worried about the Vikings winning, and have you seen the Bears defense the past two weeks, just nasty.

denver got their butts kicked by SD tonight.. they should be in an ugly mood. plus, if it is in denver, that is always a tough place and for a dome team it will be even worse..plus, the vikes got exposed for the pretenders they really are

as for the saints, i think that brees will pick chicago apart and orton is no mcnabb...

the only reason i could see the cowboys playing hard is to kick us out of the playoffs.. who would they rather play, us or the vikes ? please, the dallas defense would eat jackson alive.. the saints at full power match up well with the cowboys. but they are missing a lot of parts. the latest is mike mckenzie with an acl. and i have not yet heard as to whether colston can play.
they have had the same kind of injury filled season we have

I bet the Boys rest TO and Romo just to be safe. Why risk it? And even if they do play their guys with everything clinched they are going to worry about getting hurt.

TO is huge.. no question. but if terry glenn is playing, he has always given the skins fits
brad loves beating the skins. he beat us for the vikes last year and beat GW's pressure constantly. he will be tough

the single biggest loss for the cowboys will be terrence newman, if he doesnt play. they have no one else who can cover moss one on one. and newman has the speed to do it. without him, moss is going to get open deep all day. they just need to hit him

also, roy williams is going to be nervous about doubling moss because he got badly burned by cooley in the last game

i think this is a trap game for the skins because i think dallas would like to put our lights out if they can.. they will try to control the game with their defensive front 7 and win by creating turnovers
and romo will play at least a half...

Yes, agree. I'm not exactly confident when I think of Brad Johnson leading the Cowboys. He is a very intelligent QB, and would LOVE to knock us out of the playoffs.

Unfortunately I agree with your analysis. Denver can't stop the run so Jackson isn't a factor. Chicago is playing for pride and I believe is at home, while NO is a dome team. If the game is in NO chalk one up for the Saints. Either we win or get out the golf clubs. As far as Dallass whipping us by using their starters the whole game, that's a gamble I don't see them taking. First is the health issue, second is as the lowest ranking team if we get past Seattle we would be playing a team that had done it's best two weeks previously and lost - not a good atmosphere for the Boys to prepare for a game. In our current injured condition I would respect (fear) NO and Minn more if I were the Boys.

I agree with everyone about BJ. He'll definately try to blow us out of the playoffs.

I wouldn't count on a "gimme" from the Cowgirls. We go all out, with ALL our players - with everything we have - and try to beat this team like we've done the last 3 games.

The BESt we can hope for is Cowboys pulling some players in the second half (like romo). Oh yeah, and Brad Johnson would like to stick it to us one more time for dumping him over Jeff George......

i think the first time dallas has the ball, GW needs to send the most ferocious blitz he can come up with and lay romo out. draw the personal foul, but send them a message:

"play your starters and they might be missing for the playoff run.". sure we might wake dallas up, but more likely phillips will start pulling starters in the second quarter. we have NOTHING to lose and they have EVERYTHING to lose

we need to play like that. if we do, i am sure we will win because dallas wants no part of a dog fight in week 17.. they lost to detroit last year in week 17.
it will happen again this year if we press them and smack them around

Denver's D sucks, and the Vikes won five in a row with Jackson in, so they are going to win. If we lose, we will be out. We gotta win but will be helped as Romo plays maybe into the secodn quarter, TO sits, and every other key Dallas starter gets plenty of snaps off.

I think Phillips will rest the starters for the 2nd half. One thing he has been talking about is that he doesn't want to rest everybody because for those who don't play at all will be going a period of 3 weeks before playing again. That is too long for some players.

I would love to see the 'Boys win and record the most wins (in a season) in franchise history however with home field already clinched it won't be a big deal if they lost. I kind of look at this game like a pre-season game. I want to see how Terry Glenn does I hope they activate (and play) Isiah Stanback. I expect San Hurd to have a bigger role this week too.

Phillips should play Romo and co for at least the first qt maybe the 1st half. That's it. It's not like Brad Johnson is that terrible although not Romo. They should be smart enough to realize the starters aren't paramount in this one. The girl fans are thinking about it:

I know I'm an Auburn homer, but we need to get big Anthony Mix out there to grab some of those Collins ballon floaters. He seems built for those kinds of passes. Give one of the smurfs a rest, and throw 6' 5" Mix into the mix. See what happens.

Mix has been doing a nice job on special teams. I think he will have a role next year on this team.

Brad Johnson is a smart QB. But when he plays, everything happens within 10 yards of the LOS, so Landry could be useless this week if he is 30 yards off the ball like usual.

Dallas is in a tough position with Romo. First, he is dinged with the thumb and one fluke hit like his hand hitting a helmet on a follow through could be disasterous. Second, I would think Philips would like to rest a few of those lineman (Guorde and Davis especially) who are often the most beat up people on the team at this point of the season.

I think we will definitely see the backup o-linemen in there in the second half. I'm interested in seeing Doug Free and James Martin. Proctor has done a good job taking over for Andre Gurode. It will be good to see how these guys respond against a Redskins team that needs a win to have a shot at the playoffs.

We have to win this game. And not depend on other teams. Also I can care less about who Dallas starts. If I can remember right we could of easley beat them last time we played. and that was at Dallas. Now its at our house. So lets do this win and were in.

I'd like to see our DT take advantage of missing the center collapsing the pocket and taking away the running game. All of our DT's have been playing well during the streak.
