I was watching the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight and he mentioned the passing of Johnny Cash and John Ritter. When he came to John Ritter, Jimmy was struggling to hold back the tears. He showed a clip from the movie Slingblade during which time I am sure he gained his composure but he was obviously affected by the passing of John Ritter.

I only know Jimmy Kimmel through his work on Fox NFL Sunday and his late night show, but I never would have thought that this funny man would show emotion on a late night show.

I guess I have a different opinion of Jimmy now.

Wow robert, you're right. I never thought he'd show those kind of emotions either. He doesn't seem to be that kind of guy. I guess that goes to show that people shouldn't judge other people by their on air personas'(?).

I've also seen Jimmy Kimmel on "The Mans Show". Its nice to see these guys let down their guard when they are truely upset over something. I too now have a different opinion of him as well. Seems John Ritter touched a lot more people than I ever thought of...

I think the field of touched people from Jon Ritter will never be truly known as he was more popular than even he knew he was. Who could not love the crazy "JAck Tripper" he has to be one of hte most loved and reconized charaters ever on TV..
