I have a good college friend that just got this email.

Pretty valid source ..........

If this is wrong, MODS, feel free to delete

4 wins tops next year:

Had a long chat with my AFC North scout friend this morning. He is still down at the Senior Bowl and here is the latest he has heard:

He spoke directly with a Redskins coach yesterday while eating dinner. This coach said that, at this point, nobody thinks Gregg Williams would even take the job if it was eventually offered to him. This coach said that the other redskins coaches he has talked to feel very disrepected by being kept in the dark about their status. They all want out of the situation and released from their contracts so they can find employment with another team and some of them have specifically requested a release from their contracts. Snyder didn't allow it and that is when Snyder had Gibbs step in to talk with the coaches and set up meetings with them all next week.

This coach said that here is what the Redskins are looking at for next year: "They will either have a whole new staff or, if most of us are not released from our contracts, they will have a bunch of disgruntled coaches that will hate coming to work everyday."

My buddy's GM told him that he thinks the Redskins have such a mess on their hands right now that it will probably be hard for us to fill a whole staff right now with competent coaches.

My buddy leaves the Senior Bowl tomorrow so I will post anything else I hear.

With all of the discussions I have had with my buddy this week I just don't think as fans we can truly comprehend how toxic this situation is right now inside the Redskins organization. UUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHH

This came from ES and I don't buy into alot of that stuff.

yeah this was on ES and in another thread earlier today.

if true, it is bad. I don't usually validate "my friend had an email" type of internet crapola

that being said it is very very logical to assume all of this is true and probably happening.

Dan Snyder....joke

It's all just rumor. I mean, none of it seems outlandish or necessarily false. I can believe all of it because it seems plausible. But we've got no evidence that any of it is true. It's interesting, but not important.

If true it makes logical sense. However, little surprises me out of Redskin camp these days.

Yeah. Sorry . Probably not valid. But from the email I got, It looked like a legit email.

You guys can delete.

The Redskins pay more for their coaches than anyone. People will come for a paycheck AND to work with someone new like Meeks, Schwartz, McDaniels or whoever.

Due to the current state of this hiring search the coaching staff will probably be blown up.

If it is true, can we start cussing on this site. JK Cause i got a few explicatives i would like to let out, and in an office with clients around that kind of thing is frowned upon.

Three problems with this that undermine its credibility:

nobody thinks Gregg Williams would even take the job if it was eventually offered to him.

Well, this smells like crap. Its pretty clear that he wasn't going to get the job before the mystery candidate was revealed. Even if this is from Williams directly, you can mail it to Bitterness, Missouri.

I don't buy that at all. Barring some surprise, none of the assistant coaches will be retained and Snyder wouldn't stand in their way of seeking other jobs even for just the senior bowl. I believe that they didn't like the secrecy, but thats different that this above.

This coach said that here is what the Redskins are looking at for next year: "They will either have a whole new staff or, if most of us are not released from our contracts, they will have a bunch of disgruntled coaches that will hate coming to work everyday."

Another problem: Whomever said this is a fool. So, does some football guy think that the Skins were planning on keeping most of the current staff for the new coach? Thats absurd. This smells like its coming from a very bitter Gregg Williams imo.

Not an attack on you man, just the post. It doesn't pass the smell test.

BS.... nota chance of this happening. yes, there will be losers out of this mess. but once a new head coach is installed there will be a sense of excitement and forward thinking behavior

it will be okay
