Okay, we enjoyed this win and will the rest of the week. But now we have to turn our attention to the Giants who alot people feel are the team in the division to beat. This is going to be the toughest test so far this season IMO. We have to handle Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey, and Strahan to name a few.
What would be your gameplan against the Giants?

Should be the same as the Falcons. Go with what works.
Despite the rumblings of our lack of a pass rush, we have held the first two opponents under 200 yds passing. And the much maligned d-line has done a solid job against the run with the help of the LBs. I don't think the Giants have anyone that can cover Coles one-on-one. Spurrier's play calling will again be the key.

1. Use screens early. We don't want another first quarter like what we had today. Take away the effectiveness of the blitz by opening up with plays that will attack it.
2. Blitz to pressure Collins. Do you want to see what Collins can do with time and Toomer, Hilliard, Barber, and Shockey out there? Neither do I. The blitz worked well today when it was used, so I say throw it at them more.
3. Attack that left side. The left half of New York's O-line is weak, and could be even weaker if Luke Petitgout doesn't play. We need to take advantage of this.
4. Get the ball to Coles. We've seen what happens when Laveraneus gets the ball. It's all good.
5. Spread the field. One of the things Spurrier did to make the Falcons' blitz less effective later in the game was to send one running back out wide, forcing a linebacker to follow him. Teams target our offense with the blitz, so this is another good way to combat it. Plus, the idea of Canidate running patterns against an LB is beautiful.

Well, this is the NFC East, and really my general game planning advice stays the same anyway: Stop the opponent's running game and establish ours. I'm not a big Kerry Collins fan (in the appreciation of ability sense). He always seems to be hungry for a 4 INT game IMO. Why not on the 21st. I'd say have the LBs key on nuetralizing Barber and make Collins beat us. Canidate/Betts need to start well on O early setting up play action passes to the superb Coles. Coles is so indescribably dominant at this point of his career that he's seemingly uncoverable. Amazing.

Big game if we win this one Redskins are for real. I cant wate I think we have too get good pass protection. Also it is a must to run on them. On D blitz them early and knock Collins around. The Giants depend on turnovers a lot. If Redskins dont give any up we got a chance. This is a big game for First!

Toomer being covered by Champ gives us a lot of flexability.
- We have to find out which back is going to be the man for us that day. Keep them guessing with the run and stretch the field with Coles, Gardner and JACOBS! (i'm excited to see the rook play)
- we'll have to improve our pass blocking, and i think we will against a D that we are familiar with.
- I think Ohalete and Bowen will be the key in this game. Collins can get hot and they need to keep him from getting into that rhythm.
- SPECIAL TEAMS and BLOCKING
Stock and Helton are making me nervous. No blocking on our returns and way too much given up on punt returns. We all know about the OL woes... so that needs to tighten up for this game.

I say we need to come out and smack them in the mouth. You know they are taking us lightly. We need to get to Collins early and often. Someone needs to step up and SHUT DOWN SHOCKY!!! ( I would love to see Lavar Bust His A$$).
I don't think they are going to give it their all in practice this week. I don't feel that anyone believes we are for real anyway. Hell, this game will put a lot of things in perspective for me. I would like us to quietly STOMP EVERY TEAM THAT LINES UP IN FRONT OF US.... This game will make others take notice.
I am glad that the guys are winning. I hope it gets contagious. We are learning how to win. I would have been highly pissed if we had lost either of these first two games. I wonder how people are saying we are going to finish now. Early on our first two games were predicted to be losses especially when our DL looked bleek....
I can feel the magic though....

Champ is playing extremely well right now, so I believe he will neutralize Toomer, which puts the burden smack dab on Smoot to contain Hilliard and the rest of the D to do the same to Shockey. Maybe with Smoot and Bailey going 1 on 1 with the WR, we can double team Shockey on passing downs.
The running D has preformed very well thus far, so we have to hope that we can contain Barber. The Gints have never seen Arrington used the way we are using him this year and they will not know where he is going to line up, so maybe that unpredictability will cause a little conservatism in their play calling.

I think before we start putting in "OUR" game plans, WE should watch the game tonight. This was a crazy week with alot of games going every-which-way and so REAL surprises. ..... Tomorrow morning may even hold so more surprises, although I'm pulling for the NYG tonight. Don't want to face a pissed off team next Sunday.

No matter who wins, we play the Giants on Sunday so I don't thhink we need to hold off on gameplanning them.

I need to see what the Giants do tonight, but a few thoughts occur. We've got to put more pressure on Collins than we have on Testaverde or Johnson. Collins will carve our asses into neat little pieces if he is not rushed. Rush him and he'll screw up. Don't rush him and he'll look like Johnny Unitas. Toomer is a terrific wideout, second only to Coles in the division. Champ will play him better than anyone else in the league, but you've got to figure on him making a play or two.
Biggest question: Who is going to take Jeremy Shockey? That rat bastard destroyed us last year.

Maybe Jeremy Shockey will experience some freak accident outside the visitors locker room. You know it's directly across from the band's locker room.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Once again the defense was rock solid (for three years running the defense has not gotten it's due). The offense gave the game away before winning it back.
If we give the game away ONCE against the Giants... there will be no second chance to win it back. That wil be it - game over.
Also the sacks have been off the chart, and here comes the best DE duo thus far - Strahan & Holmes.
Prediction is pretty easy - if we play the way we played the last two weeks, we will lose. Question is how do we NOT play the way we played the last two weeks - especially the sacks & turnovers??
I have full faith the D will once again be stellar. Arrington & Trotter will relish the opportunity to take out a trophy like Shockney.
It's the offensive unit. We could run the ball like we've never run the ball before??

OR maybe after he scores a TD he runs over and head butts the stadium wall and knocks himself out for two weeks - lol.

I say we have Bowen take Shockey. As hard as Bowen can hit, he should be able to handle him.

I think Shockey is going to get rocked by the Cowboys tonight. I think it's a "homo" thing.

Maybe Parcells should wink and wave at Shockey all game long. Also, if Shockey gets close enough, he can give him one of those pats on the azz. Oh, that would be great for the pregame warmups if the Tuna did that.

Well, here I am in the heart of "Gints" territory and all day long I had to listen to their fans talk about how easy the next two weeks are going to be for them... first the "patsy" cowboys and then the "deadskins".......
So, tonite I expect the cowpukes to rock the Gints... they might not win but they could give them a good scare.. especially since the weather sucks here right now - rain and wind!
Next Sunday, when I will be there tailgating with the BEST FANS IN THE NFL I look to see us:
1 - Keep up the improvement on ST - this is mandatory. Good field position every time and solid kicking!
2 - Turnovers- the more TO's the "Gint's" make the worst they play.... check it out ! Defensive pressure on Collins!!!!
And for good measure - Have Mr. Arrington smak Jeremy" I have a BIIIIIGGGGGGG mouth and small brain" Shockey into the turf once or twice!:twak:
