Has anyone played this game? I downloaded the Demo and had a lot of fun with it. I finally found it used and have been playing the full version for a couple of days.

I'm not into skateboarding but this game is kind of cool. All the tricks are done with the analog stick. You can do a career mode or just free skate. The career mode can be frustrating in that you have to pull off some hard tricks to pass but you can unlock some skate parks doing it and I think the ultimate goal is getting to the x games to do that big air ramp. Other than unlocking a couple of skate parks the whole city is unlocked from the beginning and you don't have to earn any moves. You also don't have do have good equipment. You can do everything and go almost anywhere from the start.

Yeah its tough at first but the demo I played took you through a tutorial on the basics and then you could skate around a park. There is a timer for 30 minutes I think but I always turned it off before it was up and I could play the demo over and over. I just had to do the tutorial in the beginning each time. I got fairly decent in the few days I played before I got the game and I pretty much suck on the sticks overall.

I bought it when it first came out and I really like it. I haven't played it recently because it keeps freezind at a certain point in the game for me although I think the problem is with my system because it does it on Tiger woods also. I like it because it isn't as over the top as Tony Hawk with the easiness of the tricks and doing 500 foot airs. Wait until you get to the X games, they have the Mega Ramp and a cool street course.

Interesting, because I buy EA games almost exclusively and have not found "freezing" to be rampant. I think the last EA game to freeze on me was Madden 2005

I should make this clearer and say that it happens a lot on the next gen consoles, moreso on the 360 than the ps3 but it still happens. It doesn't screw up the game, but it does kill franchises or other career modes.

The only other game I own is Forza2 from microsoft and I have never had a problem with it. You may be right and to tell you the truth it has made me as where I hardly ever play my 360 at all. Maybe I will go out and buy some titles from other companies and give them a shot.

Well I only own Madden for PS3, but have borrower from a friend Live 08, and I have not had any problems....other than Madden game play is choppy and sucks. Live is fun though....
