Our defense looked good since a lot of thier points were on huge mistakes, not lack of talent by our D.... Also look at the stats
Trung had 90 yards on only 16 carries
Ramsey had over 350 yards and 2 tds, with 0! ints
Both starting WRs with well over 100 yards...
This is amazing.... now if we could just get a FB that can block...

Rock can block, but I don't think he was in there when Ramsey was blitzed and fumbled, was he?

No he wasnt, it was BJ, but rock missed a few that led to sacks also.... This is a huge liability, because Chad Morton, the smallest guy on the team, made some great blocks in the second half, while our fullbacks missed about 5...

It's distressing the BJ missed blocks. He is not on this team for his running ability.

The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that when we were down, we took our time and got ourselves together.
We didn't get too pass happy or change up the game plan too much. When we got things clickin' I knew we would be good. When SS calls the game like he did in this game it gives us a chance to make things happen. I think the Ole' Ball Coach likes winning and is not as concerned about the stats. He now sees how good the stats look when you play a complete game,.........even coming from behind.
Early in the game there was no one left in the backfield to help block. It got to the point whenever I saw Johnson left in the backfield before the snap, I knew we were gonna pass the ball. I noticed that Betts was left in to block on a few occasions.

I too was impressed with the way we kept our poise. The only thing at this point I'm concerned about is the sacks we are allowing. 10 so far this season which projects to 80 for the season. I'm sorry, BUT Patrick will not last at that rate.

I hate to bring this topic back up but Kenny Watson was a great blocker

Yes he was RB and I believe he's still available. I wouldn't count on BJ missing alot of blocks though. This needs to be corrected today.

Rock doesn't block for the run at all. He's just not built like a lead fullback. He'd get killed that way. He's too thin for it. He should block for the pass a lot better than he does. He does not seem to have picked up the blitz well at all. Neither has Canidate or Betts. Bryan Johnson was the one back who was blocking well, but even he whiffed on a block yesterday that led to a sack and fumble. It's a mess.

Wasn't BJ the guy who led the block to Rock's TD this Sunday? If so, lets give him a hand...

Neither Rock nor BJ impress me all that much. Rock is somewhat of a novelty act at 5'7" 230 lbs. Cool name and stature, but not extremely effective. I've never thought much about BJ. It seems like the coaches are always in love with him every training camp? I guess he must be doing something right, but the gaffes are glaringly visible.

Maybe we should have picked Centers back up.

Maybe we should have kept Watson instead of Russell and used Watson to pick up the Blitz
