The Redskins X-file:
-"Scully? If three starting QBs go out, for three consecutive opponents, can it be coincidence? Or is there something going on which is bigger than all of us?"
-"Molder, two QBs hardly qualifies an a 'phenominon' in a sport as violent as football. But the curve of probability takes a drastic plunge on the third QB. I think we need to consider there may be forces at work & Kerry Collins could be in danger?"
-"Scully, did you see a dark figure smoking in Dan Snyder's luxury box?"
-"Molder? Wasn't that the Redskins Hall-of-Famer Sonny Jurgenson smoking his SJ9-cigars."
-"No Scully? Sonny was broadcasting the Game for WJFK??"
-"Molder, who could it be then."

Perfect example that some people who post messages here or anywhere, MIGHT just have too much free time on there hands.
I will say this -- every team who wins the SB had things happen bad for the opp teams and avoided serious injuries themselves.
With that said, it's just not right to root for injuries (I have a 'friend' who is a Giants fan, always says things like "I root for injuries win Skins/Boys, Skins/Eagles, or Eagles/Boys play. I say to him "Be careful what you root for, it just might come back and bite you on the a$$."
Personally I root for Tiki and Collins to continue there Fumbling ways. It's also very satisfying to beat a team a full strength, but remember you have win the games when you have the advantage if you hope to have a successful season. The Skins have done that.

It's all fun & a part of the game.
people gloat when we have injury spells
the Manley/White Sack is enthusiacly enjoyed with no such sinister overtones.
Like they said in American Wedding "It's all very natural."

Collins may make it to week 3 but he may not make it to week 4 because on Sunday he is going to be wearing a redskins jacket all day with the #56 on it.:twak:

Funny stuff, Redbeard. I agree with skinswin that victory over a team with all its key cogs seems a little sweeter. I'm one that's not at all afraid of Kerry Collins. My concerns are Toomer and Schockey running free after the catch even moreso than Barber's touches. I'm very optimistic about our guys getting to Collins vs. the rookie linemen NY has in there. Can't wait 'til Sunday.

FL SKINS:
I'm with you - if Dallas?? can rattle Collins with basically two pros, a DT & a Safety. Wait until he gets a load of Arrington, Trotter, Armstead (throw in Bailey & Smith). Heck! Collins may STILL not make it through weak #3.

Pretty good post Redbeard. I don't wish injuries on players but people will say stuff like that. Don't know if they really mean it though. Just some good old smack. The Skins have taken advantage of the opportunites afforded them so far, but they won't be given many like that. So, they have to beat some pretty strong teams.

If anything happens during the game injury-wise. That's it, I believe! I'm joining the cult & drinking the kool-aid. I'm not claiming to understand it - I'm just declaring it a 'year of destiny.'

Hail Yeah
Not wishing or hoping, but if it happens - I might start checking horoscopes??
I love the big match-ups. But I wouldn't mind if the we got coddled a little bit in the first half of the season until the offense got all those new parts fine tuned - 4 new WR, 4 RB w/year or less, 2 QBs w/year or less, 4 new OGs (though fairly seasoned).
The offense has a lot of nice but new parts. I'm thinking that's what's causing all the miscues - turn overs, penalties, sacks. Hope that gets ironed out before Tampa *gulp*. Hopefully it's just a matter of repetition. What do you think?
