View Full Version : 2 Keys to a victory over Gints

I think the first key to the Skins going 3-0 next Sunday is our D-line putting pressure on Collins. I have yet to be a fan of Collins and feel he gets flustered very easily. Their O-line is young and not very solid (especially tonight against the Cowboys)... so if our guys can plug them up and allow our three animals to run over Kerry then I think we can shut down their offense.
#2 - I dont think they have anyone who can hang with Coles... and that will be huge. The key is our O-line protecting Ramsey enough to allow him to run the offense like he has the first 2 weeks. The Giants defense is fast... and has alot of the qualities Tampa Bay has. It will be a test... but one that I think Ramsey can pass.
Yes?

Just don't blow it. The Giants are way overrated. Play smart and low turnovers and we'll take them out.

If they play cover two, ramsey and coles will eat them alive. They are going to have to change their gameplan.

we will be great against the cover 2 if we can stop the blitz. I think our defense can stop them well, but it will be like playing ATL with 2 good WRs. THat have a good RB and TE and a good WR, but they have a 2nd we have to watch for. Collins is only good if he has time.

O line and ST's must improve.
I think the Boys showed it tonite.....shut down Barber and make the passing game beat you. I think our secondary can hang with their WRs.

Their O-line is in shambles right now and we had better take advantage of it.:smash:

Of what I saw, their O-line looked really confused. Three rookies starting - that's tough BUT I don't think they will be in that bad of shape this Sunday. IF they are - BLITZ - BLITZ - BLITZ. Also jam JS at the line and double him.
On offense - let's just stick to what we've been doing for the past two weeks. Wouldn't change a thing.

We need to block Strahan he is a monster........... The Giants have the best D-line we have faced so far I hope Ramsey is ready to get knocked around

Yeah they're starting 3 rookies on the oline and hopefully we can exploit that.

I don't mean to be synnical but what are we going to exploit it with our D-line is horrible not bad but horrible... Our d- line has 2 sacks in two games Ramsey got sacked more times one one drive ....
What is Dexter Manley up to these days he has to be better than anyone we have now...

We had a tough time blocking a fairly tame Falcons D-line. They use a THREE MAN FRONT and they killed us! I'm worried about Strahan and Holmes punishing our o-line. This will make up for the Allen-Coles mismatch.

I think the coaches will develop a plan which attacks the rookies on their oline and I also believe we'll see more blitzes in this game.

We have to find someone who can cover Shockey.
We have to pressure the quarterback, something we have not done yet this year.
We have to give Ramsey time to throw; the Giants will blitz.
Fred Smoot must have a good game against Hilliard.
We must end the idiotic penalties against us.
That's a lot to do. I don't see the Giants as a pushover by any means. It's not that the Giants are great, it is that the Redskins have not proven anything to me yet.

Our safeties can't cover. Although, Bowen had a nice INT. That was a great catch!. I think we will see a lot of nickel packages. Bauman should hold that punk to under 80 yards recieving.

Being that as is may, is this the week for Bruce Smith to get the sack record??? . . . against a line of rookies he should be able to outsmart them . . . hmmmm

Folks? Please stop doubting the defense. The defense is great. And has saved the offense's butt two weeks running now.
It's all on the offense. Turn overs, sacks, penalties. All those very nice BUT NEW parts are still meshing.

the gnats were taking my beloved Cowboys lightly! they were already celebrating the victory over their former coach before kickoff! and getting that quick INT TD only made them more overconfident!
even in the third qtr, you could tell they were not worried about being down - they just assumed it was gonna be a W
and they were almost right!
don't let a young team get confidence!
and don't give a BP coached team a chance - even a miniscul one!
they did both, and that combined with their lack of a sense of urgency spelled their doom!
i mean did you see shockey laughing at dropping a TD!!
what was that! laughing like it didn't matter!
typified the teams attitude overall IMO
but when they are ready and unsure, they are a dangerous team, ala vs the lambs in week one.
ya'll gonna blitz that young line to death?
are do you think that your Dline can get enough pressure w/o help? pressure will defintely be the key!
but i think you can expect a better effort from them than they gave my 'Boys! i am kinda worried about them coming to Big D looking for vengence! they really do have a dangerous team!
but if our young team gets on a roll...you never know!
