Bears signed Brandon Lloyd to a one-year contract.
Once a promising receiver in San Francisco, Lloyd was a huge bust after the Redskins made him rich. Perhaps he'll be hungrier now and Chicago risks little by giving him a "prove-it" contract to play under college coach Ron Turner. Lloyd could wind up starting or released by Week 1, although the latter is more likely.

The Bears seem to like our busts.

The bears must not have much hope with only a 1yr league minimum deal.

Obviously robbing Washington DC blind wasn't enough. Now he's after Chicago. Worst Skins' acquisition ever.

Arch is a close second, and the Bears want both. Go figure.

The Arch move didn't cost 2 draft picks either.

Congrats, Nostradamus! Good call! If I had any disposable income, I'd ask you for a stock tip.
I guess Ron Turner thinks he can recapture the magic of Lloyd's pre-NFL career. Good luck with that.
Did anybody notice that in his introductory press conference, Lloyd's big mouth already started causing the Bears problems? He said that Rex Grossman was the starter, forcing Ron Turner to come out afterwards and say that was not true, no starter has been anointed yet. Now everyone in Chicago thinks that Turner told Lloyd that Grossman would be the one getting him the ball, and that vaunted competition the Bears have been trumpeting is bull hockey. Good work, Brandon! And it is only your first day! By the end of the year, he'll probably get Turner fired!

The picture on the link from NFL.com shows him making a catch in a 9ers uni. I wonder why there were no Redskins ones.

Releasing Muhammad and not resigning Berrian, replacing those two with Booker and Lloyd is a definate net loss. Expect the Bears to go WR in the first round or two.
