View Full Version : Don't Trust Those Hand Signals From Ramsey

Spurrier has come clean on Atlanta's game. He admitted to using phony hand signals at the line. On one play they used a signal which sends Coles on a post route and Spurrier said he noticed Johnson on the sideline pointing that they're going long. He said we were actually running a draw play. I love hearing this kind of stuff. I noticed they also fooled the announcers for the game as well. They all thought if it was a hand signal, it was a pass play. They obviously haven't watched any our games because alot of times Ramsey audibled to running plays with his hands.

I love hearing this kind of stuff as well. I hate it when teams get cheap wins because they know the other team's offensive tendencies(cough, cough, superbowl 37).

Well not only do we have a young QB who is learnign the NFL and the system, we have a new coach still learning the NFL. Fortunately for us, both seem to be picking there end up nicely in 2003.

We have not even played a complete game yet. when our offense, defense and st each have a good game we will be hard to beat. the defense seems to be hitting their stride.

Spurrier is not stupid! He only pretends to be sometimes in front of the media.

Like I said in an earlier post...Doug Johnson was teaching the Falcon's D the wrong signals! lol

Pure Brilliance on Spurrier's part.

Spurrier will be a legend one day.

My only knock is apparently he didn't make that adjustment until later in the game. With all the tal;k about changing up before the game, it appears that the change wasn't made until after that play in question.

In Florida, Spurrier already is a legend. One that Gators fans desperately want back at HC. Especially after that loss to Miami.

I love the ideas of fake hand signals I would be laughing if I actually saw the game! (

It was great, Odyn...

The announcers kept talking about Spurrier's hand signals as if they studied them the entire night beforehand.

As the announcers proudly predicted a pass play after an audible, Ramsey gave the ball off on a draw play.

I laughed my a$$ off after that. (And the broadcasters stopped predicting plays after that)

Why were the annoucers tryin to predict thats not commenting on the game. I believe that is poor broadcasting if they are predicting rather than visualizing for the sake of the listener.
