And here (http://www.hailredskins.com/hailPowerpoll03.htm) it is. Remember that making death threats over the Internet is a federal crime. As I noted elsewhere, I don't expect a lot of agreement on this one and no doubt it will not be popular.

It could be a lot worse. At least we didn't move down.
Undoubtedly...there are some one win teams that are better than us, so I was not expecting to be ranked in the top 10.

Whew. I hope everyone is as smart as you, Stouty! :)

OK just call me a typical stupid fan, BUT I kind of feel like UNTIL you are beaten you should be ranked with ALL the unbeatens AT THE TOP and that would go for ANY UNBEATEN team. That's just me though.

That's one view, Patrick, and probably a pretty popular one. I don't share it, though, and none of the big media outlets who produce power polls share it either. I do place importance on the level of competition faced and right now I'm not impressed with the level of competition the Redskins have faced.

Better than dropping several spots. We should see some movement if we beat the Giants on Sunday. Hint, hint.

You can count on that, Mike. Heck, if the Skins beat the Giants my biggest problem will be containing my enthusiasm and not placing them too high up.

Now we're in the same spot ESPN's got us at. Can't see SI's yet.

BTW, good job as always Tom. We need to figure out a way to get your poll the national exposure that it deserves.

Thanks, Kenny. Much obliged. I'm always interested in finding new ways to annoy people with my opinions. ;)

Good rankings. Yeah, I do disagree with a few (like the Colts jumping so high after a FG war with the Browns) but, it's a pretty sound poll. You continue to do good work.

Great job Spence. I love this site.
Until we can establish dominance in games and beat top/contending teams at full strength, we deserve the ranking we have in the hr power poll.
The next 4 weeks will be telling. If we win 50% or better of those games, I will argue for a spot in the top 5.
Our first two games were character builders, but they were games we needed to win with our brutal schedule this year. We need to focus heavily on our division opponents and come out with a winning record against Dallas, Philly and NY. These games will be crucial, and very, very tough.
The entire NFC East has to face the same opponents as us. The last team left standing goes to the playoffs. I don't think we will see a wildcard team come from the NFC East.

Great job Tom. I have a few disagreements, but i will air them directly to you on Sunday! :smash:
Just another quick poll, Mort at ESPN jumped us from 16 to 13.

Would you feel that way if our victories were over the Cardinals and Bears? Wouldn't prove much other than we are better than them!

Your team is 2-0 and as good as there reacord is. 2-0 means you are that good today. So yes you should be rated at that.
Philly is 0-2 and should be rated at that also. Better on paper means a bunch of nothing.
Right now the Redskins are a top team and that is it. I am a Cowboy fan and I would choose to play the Giants or Eagles right now, not the Skins.
The Skins are playing good ball, and should be ranked on that.
My thoughts anyway

As Redskins fans we understand that you need to earn respect on the field. Beating two teams woth bad backup qb's dosen't do that yet.. Good Poll hopefully we will know more after this weekend.
