I thought this was pretty cool. I just got mine in the mail with the free 31 day trial.
You pay $20 per year to use it and you can make unlimited local and long distance calls within the U.S. and Canada.
It says the free trial offer is over on monday April 7th. If you want to try it out too.
So far seems really ez to use. I just plugged it in to my usb port pick a phone number to use and it was ready to go for me to make phone calls.
You use any standard phone to plug into it.
I will let you guys know what I think about it in a few days.

Wow. I just read my post and it sounds like I am trying to sell something.. LOL.
Maybe I should make it clearer that I am not in any way affiliated with magicjack.
I just made this post because I got pretty excited when I foun a way to save some money and I thought I'd share it with the board.
So far, it has worked just like our regular phone line always did with one exception.
My wife dialed and got the wrong person although the correct number was dialed. She then immediately dialed out again and the person she called could not hear her. To be fair I think that our internet connection was kind of messed up at the time because our internet was acting verrry slow.
So, all in all, in about 3 days we have had just one bad connection vs 11 good connections. I use my cordless phone just like I used to when I had AT&T.
What I really like so far is how all I have to do is plug my regular phone into this jack on my computer and I can make calls like normal. With the big plus of only having to pay $20 per year unlimited calls within the U.S. and Canada. Plus if I go out of the country I can take the jack with me and make unlimited calls back to the states or canada for free. I can see where this would have been awesome when I was in the army.
I will keep posting about my experience in here if anybody is interested. Let me know if you want me to keep posting my experience.

I pay $0 today for home phone service so it would add to my expenses. Still, I am curious to see your thoughts...

Apparently, they are still working out some kinks. I have had some audio trouble whenever the kids are on xbox live and the internet is running at the same time. other than that. flawless. I would recommend it.
