ESPN has put out two articles on the 2005 draft. One article includes a regrade of the draft and the other is a redraft.

Since we had two first round picks in that draft, I thought it was relevant for a thread. I just about disagree with everything Redskins related. There is more in depth coverage on each team in the pay section, which I do not have, but if anyone wants to summarize the paysite material, it would be appreciated.

Drafting Latupu over Carlos Rogers would have been nice for hindsight's sake...but Aaron Rodgers over Jason Campbell? NO WAY.

It does seem to be a rather specious argument considering that there is absolutely no way to grade Rodgers. This mock draft is supposed to grade players based on their performance since 2005. They make the case that Derek Anderson is the top QB selected because of his status as starting QB for the Browns. Alex Smith is not in the first round because of his approaching "bust" status (their assessment, not mine). Yet, somehow, we're supposed to believe that Rodgers should have been taken over Campbell based on the 2005 draft assessment, and not on the fact that Rodgers has never played a meaningful down in his career while Campbell has 20 starts under his belt?

ESPN is always trying to put down the Redskins somehow. It's like we are their punching bag for eternity.

Who in the world would want to have Pac-man Jones over Justin Tuck right now?!?

And their argument to picking Rodgers over Campbell is simply too retarded to comment.
All in all, a couple of articles that prove that pretty much every article that comes out on their website regarding football from January to April is absolutely worthless.
