...on Comcast Sports net? George asks Jon, "who are you matched up against this week?" Jansen replies "Michael Strahan". They proceed to show a highlight clip of Jansen vs. Strahan. Jansen got beat for QB sacks in all three shots. What kinda highlight reel is that? Who's side is Comcast on? Geeze that was funny. :smash:

Jansen shut out Strahan one year, but I can't recall which one. We'll need a great effort from Jansen in this game. I'm sure he knows it.

Yeah I saw that and we all know Comcast slants toward the Ravens.

I thought that you all were full of it over this Baltimore bias thing during the preseason... and I still do. They report the same stuff for the 'Skins that they do for the Ravens. Both teams get about 5 minutes a broadcast. It's how it's presented. That may have something to do with the production crews on each story. Luckily WE get Sage Steel to look at all year... no matter who does the Redskins reporting... it's all downhill from her. ;)

Well, it's Baltimore that's full of it. Take that for what it's worth. Even Arrington had issues with Comcast about the amount of over coverage the Ravens get and he stated it when they interviewed him.

Full of what - FACT! The first team of Maryland is Baltimore and that how they report it. As far as Sage goes, she is cute AND the Ravens need someone cute to cover them.

First, you know I'm not going to get into smack talking with anyone.
Second. I saw Lavar whining about the amount of coverage the 'Skins get. It was ridiculous then, even more so to whine now.
Come on up here to Baltimore and listen to the Baltimorean's gripe and whine about the same thing. Just today: a bunch of people are crying about The Colts being the featured article in ESPN mag. Ridiculous.
So it goes...

Jon Jansen has lately not had QB's who were his best friend so look to see that Jansen doubly protects Ramsey who is his friend.

I think Jon and Michael will be a major fight all day long but I hvae a feeling Ram 's best friend will win this one this time

It was Jansen's rookie year, 1999!

My prediction is that Jansen will have Strahans number on Sunday.

Actually, RavenRick, I agree with you on this one to a point. I can't believe it:D!!!!! I know I am in the MINORITY on this board relating to this topic, but living in Baltimore, I have addressed this issue some time ago, and YES, Baltimorians complain that Comcast is 'Redskins Bias'. I (like you) have always felt that each team gets about the same amount of time (give or take 30sec.).
You guys have the Ravens post game show and we have the Redskins post game show. You guys have the Brian Billick report and we have the John Jansen report. Plus we have the Doc Walker T.V. show (which is mostly a Redskins show). We also have that NFC East show which showcases OUR conference (co-hosted by a former Redskins player). I always thought that Comcast was somewhat "fair", given the arduous task of trying to please fans from BOTH teams. As is usually the case in these matters, each teams fans feel that THEY ARE THE ONES SLIGHTED. Oh, well.

Here are Strahan's sack stats from the last 2 years against the Skins:
'01 @ NYG - 1.5 Sacks
'01 @ WAS - 2 Sacks
3.5 TOTAL SACKS in '01
'02 @ NYG - 0 Sacks
'02 @ WAS - 2 Sacks
2 TOTAL SACKS in '02
It looks like Jansen has gotten better in containing him...but I think it can be contributed to Strahan. '01 was the year he got 22 sacks for the record (plus asterick). His '02 total was half of that...which is in line with Jansen's success.
Regardless...Strahan has found a way to sack the Quarterback 2 times a game at Fed Ex Field the last two years. I guess anything less than 2 would be considered a success for Jansen.
