I figured everyone should see who we just drafted. He looks like he has some big personality. He should fit in well with our group.

The only thing that concerns me is Kelly’s self-admitted chronic cough issue. It’s so bad that he apparently is forced to drink excessive amounts of prescription strength promethazine-codeine.
is that a joke or for real? that is not good.
you arent supposed to drink that kind of stuff for a chronic cough. i hope it's a bad joke.

It's referenced in many hip hop songs... i.e. sippin on that syrup. I think the writer was aware of that or atleast I hope he was and was just poking fun at Kelly.

As long as he concentrates on football, it's all good.

ok good... i figured i was missing something. i'm not exactly in touch with hip hop.
sounds like another interesting personality to add into the team mix.

Agreed, I'm sick of the "characters", and I prefer we get some of the "robots" like NE has manufactured...

I'm a proponent of the notion that characters are what make life worth living. Look at Clinton Portis and the spirit and energy he brings into the locker room. This is great, he's got the team around him and he is obviously a natural motivator. The promethazine-codeine thing is a commonly referenced in rap; I am sure if he had any problems with drugs or specifically robotripping, we would know about it by now. I like his personality a lot, his rhymes aren't bad for having just won the Big 12 Championship.

Looks like a leader to me. Hope it translates to the NFL.

they get the abridged version friday.
but i agree in your general idea. We will see in time if it effects his study habits, on field production or his enthusiam for the game. If he is another B llyod, and gets distracted, even the slightest amount by this, then i don't agree with it.
But if its just a hobby he does with friends, which i know happens in alot of places, then its no bigger a problem then a guy who likes to watch movies with his friends.
It just depends how he handles it, and personally i think he has shown, in college, his love for the game. Hopefully he is more mature then this past month has shown, but we will see.

That's just embarrasing. Lets hope he can play.

I'm with you. Guys who can just get back to the huddle after making a routine play would be a nice change. Or guys like Riggins or Barry Sanders who acted like they'd been in the endzone before after scoring a touchdown
