Check out this vid on Kerry Brown by the Draftguys. I think this was done after the Senior Bowl. They have nothing but praise for the guy and say he should be a starter and possibly a Pro Bowler in the NFL.

Also, check out this interesting piece of info on his performance in App State's upset of Michigan:
Appalachian State senior offensive guard Kerry Brown might have gone unnoticed during the Mountaineers' stunning 34-32 upset victory at Michigan. But pro scouts took notice as the 6-6, 312-pound left guard recorded 21 knockdown blocks while facing off against junior defensive tackle Will Johnson and junior defensive end Tim Jamison. Brown successfully read stunts and twists all day and was never beaten by the Wolverines’ talent. He also played well against LSU a year ago. Brown has very good size, flashes a nasty streak to finish his blocks and can move well downfield.

I'm going to wager this guy makes the team and contributes very soon in his career. He sounds like perfect Buges material. He and Rinehart could turn into huge additions as backups and hopefully eventual starters.

I do hope he works out, but with all that money on that line all we can do is keep going to the well...I do hope we find a replacement for fabini....please let one of these kids beat him out.

Dude seems like he has a cool personality, takes thinks pretty light...reminds me of Cooley a bit, actually, with his joking...you can tell he's a nasty SOB on the field though.
Do it again Dr. Bugel!

between boatman, brown, devan and reinhart we are going to have a nice group of young porkers for buges to mess around with. add heyer and all of a sudden we just might have some young depth for the O line.
i would expect that H and R make the team outright and that between the other 3 we get at least one more roster player and a couple of players for the PS.
the most important thing is that at least one of the younger guys shows enough promise to handle the reserve center spot
brown sounds like the second coming of jansen in terms of personality and character. if he makes the team i would expect jansen to take him under his wing..

Looks like he could start now and beat out Fabini. I wish and pray for that moment, and will keep a fine 6 pack for the occasion.

Exciting prospects. I would be thrilled if he just turned into a solid lineman, pro bowler and it would be an elite steal.

On that pulling play, he reminded me a bit of Tre Johnson. Without the dreads of course.

Well Brown does like to hunt and fish. He also owns a ranch. He and Jansen should become best friends.

That is exactly what I thought. Him and Jansen will have lots to talk about.

Same site has vid of CB Tryon with Russ Lande (Sporting News draft guru) saying he will make it. Thanks for the steer, I bookmarked it.

Is it just me or are the draftguys kinda creepy and amateurish? I don't know anything about them, but that's my initial reaction.

Yep, lol...probably a couple rich dudes who really dig the draft and made a site...pretty good info and good player videos, however IMO.

Just a little creepy... but informative. I mean, where else would you see coverage of Brown? Whom, IMO, looks like a steal.

Why wasn't Kerry Brown drafted if he was so good?

I think weight and knees became an issue...he played elsewhere briefly, can't remember where though.

I thought he had shoulder issues and if I recall he played for a short stint in Cleveland before having to hang 'em up.

same reason jacoby, john randle, ogunlye, fletcher, etc. weren't drafted. ESPN.com has an article on how teams should really just pull from a hat because they'd be just as accurate.

Yeah, plus the fact that these players WEREN'T drafted means that they must produce at the highest level once they get to training camp. They get one chance to make it and no one expects them to do it. Sometimes that brings out the best in players. We could use a few.
