The Post is reporting that Taylor Jacobs will miss his 3rd game. Spn says it may be more. With the success of the passing game, we've kina fogotten about our top draft pick.
Post also reports that Ramsey is still not practicing. Due to shoulder injury, gulp!

Ramsey will be fine. Jacobs' injury persistance worries me.

I kinda think Jacobs might be being held out to be sure as our passing game is rocking right now. Ramsey had better get some blocking this week or we may see Rob Johnson and we all know we don't want that

I read where he is really eager to get out there but the doctors and coaches are telling him he doesn't need to take hits in the stomach.

I read that too. BUT also read where IF this injury to his stomach does not start to show better improvement - surgery made be an option. Now that's scary!
RAMSEY is just fine. He sore and I think he's earn a day off.

This is bad... I hope the best for him but it is good that we have good backups and haven't really missed his presence

Jacobs injury bother me NONE. Let the kid get healthy and then when the big games come, Tampa, NE, and others, he will be back and ready to show what he has! Why bring him back, have him get hit when not fully healed, then lose him for six or more weeks. Doesn't make sense this early to take risks like that when you have Coles and Gardner your main Wrs anyway.

This is not a typical football injury and does not relate to Jacobs ability to heal quickly or withstand pain. He wants to play, but his gall bladder (I think it was his gall bladder) is putting some chemicals in the blood stream which might not be so good to him on the field and prudence dictates that caution be taken with a non-typical football injury where so little is known about the consequences of another hit to the midsection.

Oh, really? Thanks for the info, Rob, I didn't know it was that kind of thing.

No, I was being serious, sorry if it was confusing. I really didn't know it was somehting like that, I thought I had read it was some sort of abdominal strain.

It's so hard to gauge tone in a post at times, don't you think?

Yep, know what ya mean. Back in the day Mike and I got in a big fight over a misunderstood post. It was really bad. We managed to cause the csite to crash for a month, all other IFS sites to turn into pages for Barbara Strisand, and the Code Red virus to pop up and start spreading. ;)

Wow,
I guess I best start adding a disclaimer to my posts, or my cell # in case someone wants to ask me where in the hell I get off posting something like that, lest the Barabars Streisand thing takes off again.

I'm sure your speaking purely from a football point of view about his injury. From that point of view, I couldn't agree more. It is very difficult for rookies to adjust to the NFL.
As "young" as this team is, we have no rookies starting or playing much (of coarse we only drafted 3). No matter how much talent a rookie has, he is still going to make "rookie" mistakes and of course there's always seems to be a "wall" they hit late in the season.
The longer we wait to play him can only bennifit him and the team. This goes for Dockery too.

No offense, but I completely disagree. The more playing time they get in a safe, non-vital position, like third reciever, the better. If he was playing #1, I'd be worried. But at #3, any mistakes he makes will be much less costly, and he'll be gaining valuable experience so he'll be more polished as the year goes on.

I think we re better RIGHT NOW with McCants and CO. at 3 and 4th WR. SS would be to earger to get Jabobs the ball

I'M more worry about him in general. THIS is not a typical injury and could possible effect him for the rest of his life. Playing is secondary compare to his well being wouldn't you think? So let's just hope for the best and when he get's back (of course the sooner the better) we'll go from there.

I think Jacobs just needs time to heal-he is a ROOKIE and i really would hate to see HOPE piled on him & then he flat out dissappoints us.........
Ramsey will be fine-give the kid some time off-...........He has most definetly EARNED IT!!!
And NO ROB JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!

Jacobs will be fine. H ewill heal or they would not allow him to play. I did read that he is ready to play, feels greatm, but Doctors wanted him to stay out one more week, so I suspect that he will be back next week.

I got hit in the midsection in a bar fight (it you can beleive that) with a bar stool and I couldn't get off the couch for almost 6 weeks... Stomach mussels are crucial for almost every movement... Sitting up is a bitch
