Yeah... it was produced by ABC but was shown on NBC (?) and then :sfight: happened and now its on ABC... which can only help that network. It's still a good show but not as good as it used to be. It's good that they're going to end it.

I actually liked Canterburys law, Shark and Back to you. Sad to see these go.
Glad Reaper is coming back. I enjoy that show.

I read somewhere that Kelsey Grammar is trying to get Back to You on CBS.

I'm just happy Friday Night Lights is coming back. They are the "little engine that could"....
I'm glad to see Vegas get chopped. That show jumped the shark several years ago.

I thought that NBC were going to drop it but now its with ABC they are trying to get an 8th series.
Weather that will happen I don't know because they wern't going to do a 7th initially.

I think that it is interesting that there is a yet to be named Office spinoff. That could be interesting.

30 Rock is a terrific comedy show. Also, I watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother that included Britney Spears in a guest slot. She's a natural comic actor and I hope she turns her efforts in that direction. The show was picked up for next season, so maybe we'll see her again.

I am very happy about Eli Stone getting picked up. Liked back to you but it was too expensive to continue I guess.
the most unkind cut for me was Jericho, but I have had a couple of weeks to get over tyhat (and the second season kinf of jumped the shark for me anyways).

I'm sad to see Journeyman go. That was a good show.
I see they are bringing back The Big Bang Theory. I caught part of the show for the first time this week and liked it enough to watch the episodes online. Its pretty good.

That show went down hill the minute they killed off Gerald McRaney (the mayor) in season 1.

This is very good news, I love this show and never miss an episode...ok so maybe it's because I really enjoy looking at "Tim Riggins" :D
But what I really wanna know...would anybody like to be my partner and go on The Amazing Race? This is my all time favorite show!

well yes...I actually think the moment power went on to the whole town in season 2 it was the beginning of the end. The whole appeal to the show to me was the survival aspect, and it was gonge from day 1 in season 2.

That show is a shadow of it former self. Its just a series of "that reminds me of the time.........." jokes. Ironically, it turned itself into South Park's satire of it.

Excellent point. They should've kept it simple and made it about a Kansas town trying to maintain itself after a nuke holocaust. The storylines could've been endless. I got so tired of that intense spy in his basement tinkering with his stupid top secret computer. And a glaring omission was the lack of a pastor in the show. Like Mel Gibson in "Signs." Would've been a great character.

You hold your tongue! The cut scenes can be tedious, I give you that, but for the most part, that show is pure hilarious.

FG has slipped some, but it is still good, except for the long, drawn out musical parts. Many times when those parts come on, I'll go to the john quit, just in time for it to finish.

Yeah, its definitely not the same, but I still like it... South Park actually got better with time IMO. I wasn't into the cartoon kids swearing for the sake of ratings, but when they shifted to spoofing current events and pop culture, it improved (IMO)...
That said, I haven't watched it in many years...

Meh. They were headed downhill until the writer's strike, and it looks like they took that whole strike off and drank. Meanwhile, SP and Simpsons used that time productively, and they've come back with some really great episodes. FG's problem is the same problem that all animated shows have come to, which is that they've decided on a formula, and they beat it into the ground at the expense of development. The simpsons had this problem with making Bart the focus of everything, and it got stale. They responded by making Homer the main character, and it turned into genius. South Park responded to some stale episodes by making Cartman the main character for awhile. FG has to get out of their "Brian and Peter do crazy things that remind them(and everyone else) of things that happened in the past" plot outline. Its tired, its old and its just not funny.

Lorri, I'll be your Amazing Race partner!!! That show looks like so much fun.
I loved Scrubs, but it's time for that one to go bye-bye, I think. The past two seasons have been duds, imo.
I guess nobody watched Carpoolers...I loved it. Sorry to see it go.

You think the Simpsons has been good this season? During its prime, it was probably my favorite show outside of Seinfeld. Then it started to decline, but I could always say "It's worth watching since its better than 90% of stuff on TV." The past few seasons have just been bad by anyone's standards. I won't go off again on how terrible that 90s episode was with Homer being a grunge singer. A good episode now is when I LOL 3 times. Sad but true.
The only reason I'm even sticking with it is just because I've been every episode. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't waste 30 minutes of my life on it every week.

I disagree with that, they've actually put out some great episodes in the last few seasons, and this season has been really solid. The grunge episode was great if you lived through that time period as a teenage(or older), you didn't.

I was referring more to the fact that whoever wrote that episode, just crapped all over the history of the Simpsons. We already had episodes where it was clear that they grew up in the 70s and Homer's dream was to work in a bowling alley. THEY CHANGED THE HISTORY OF THE FAMILY! How could Homer beat the snot out of George Bush or be in the barber shop quartet?
I really considered to just stop watching the show after that, but alas, I have no life and am always home at 8 on Sunday nights. The show is stale and we are getting to the point where stories are being repeated. This episode was an example of that.
In any case, the episode itself wasn't good at all.

Thats one of the running jokes on the show. They've been making fun of inconsistencies in the time line for over a decade now.

Well, thats your opinion, but you're the only person I've heard complain about the simpsons of late. If you don't like it, don't watch. No one is forcing you.

They've made fun of the fact that time has seemed to stop. Completely rewriting when Marge and Homer got married is a bit much IMO. The show had continuity until the past few seasons.

Exactly. The Simpsons have been going back and forth over the inconsistencies a long time, and its always been pretty good. My only complaint is that there hasn't been a good Montgomery Burns episode in a while.

No, they haven't. They had many episodes where Lisa and Bart have questioned their time line. Its hilarious when they do it and even more hilarious when they do another time line inconsistency tongue in cheek.
They even have done episodes with the CBSG being a douche about the inconsistencies in facts, past episodes and the time line: they're always great.

Yeah, they definitely cycle through some of the minor characters. They're in a heavy Moe, Krusty, Cleitus and Skinner cycle now, but they need to do more with Mr. Burns and Flanders(although that bit where Homer punches Flanders for no reason was great).

It's a deal! We'll go on and only wear Burgundy & Gold and our strategy will be done in football lingo...we'll wear big # 21 on our shirts and always give shout outs to HR. I think we could win the whole thing. We'll use our million to buy one of the luxury boxes at Fed Ex Field and everyone here will always have a free pass, sound good?
