Trying to confirm Smoot concussion

He may. I am confident in Rashad Bauman. Bauman may be the future at one of these position anyway. i think he is up to task.

I'm worried about Jimoh, not Smoot. I'm guessing covering the deep route's been pounded into his head this week, though, so he might not fare too badly.

One things for sure, if Smoot can't go, we'll know for sure whether Bauman is up to it after Sunday. The Gints are sure to put him to the test. If they don't Fassel should be fired Monday.

The story says he was knocked out, not that he had a concussion. I think we have to wait and see. Sounds to me like they are just being cautious.

Anybody think the last thing he saw before the lights went out were #41 lol....but seriously I hope Smoot is doing okay. Whether he can play Sunday or not isn't the main thing...lets just hope the kids okay.

I read that also after Mark put in the link. Unconscious doesn't necessarily mean a concussion, does it? Any doctors post here?

Matt Bowen - I knew he had to be a part of it. What a hitter - I just wish he start laying it on the other teams instead of our guys.

I doubt seriouly that Smoot will sidelined come Sunday.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Terrell at Corner sometimes in the game ESPECIALLY if Jimoh struggles.
On another note I can't wait to see Bowen matching up with Shockey. One of those two will knock the other out.

Smoot and Bowen were covering wide receiver Cliff Russell during a drill and smashed into one another defending a pass from quarterback Rob Johnson.

Its not Bowen's fault! Its Rob Johnson's fault! :D

TO and Garcia played with concussions...hopefully he'll be okay. I think if we alternate Terrell and Bauman at corners, we may be okay, but I like our chances a lot less without Smoot

Bauman has a sore hamstring if he can go I wouldn't worry to much. If he can't play and it is up to Jimoh and Terell... We could be in for a long day

I think Bauman is ok and will go. I feel pretty confident in Bauman. I think we will all be plesantly surprised.

My only concern is his size. He's small and the gints have bigger receivers. Hopefully Darrell told him about all the tricks of playing against bigger receivers.

I'm alright with Bauman... i'm more concerned about Jimoh or whoever we throw at #3. If we ever play zone, we are retarded. Letting Jimoh, Terrell or Lott to match up with toomer or hilliard would be awful.

The giants #3 wideout is a flat out burner... so the way that farris toasted Jimoh is not good. Bauman also has a tweaked hammy, if that comes into play, then we'll really be hindered.

If he's locked on Hilliard he doesn't give up too much size.
