Well since each of the Qbs now have a rapport with L. Coles which do you guys think best suits him? If you guys could give me some stats to verify a little i would a preciate it becuase i am a curious fellow. I do know that Ramsey has 285 yards with Coles did Pennington ever have that with Coles within two games?

Ramsey and Coles may not be as in sync as Pennington and Coles were, YET, but I will say this, they most assuredly will be and in addition, Ramsey and Coles will have more big play potential because Ramsey has a much better arm than Pennington and can make more throws than Pennington. And the throws that both can make, Ramsey's get there faster, thus allowing Coles a better chance to do things after the catch.

But Pennington did not have a quality #2 receiver as we have. Don't forget that Rod stil got more than 100 receiving yards this we.

Pennington / Coles : 89 rec / 1264 / 14.2 (2002 but not sure they were all from Pennington)
Ramsey / Coles: Based on the same number of receptions would project out a 1593 yards ( using the current average or 17.9).

Hard to make a fair comparision right yet but it does look promising...... On the other hand, from what I've seen of Coles, he'd make DannyW look good - lol.

I wouldn't extrapolate numbers just yet. As long as we have Tampa in front of us, we're gonna have to expect those numbers will take a dip there along with the other good defenses we play this year. Not every team's defense will get hurt before we play them.

Oh - I agree, it's too early yet for projections. BUT the same holds true for facing Tampa. Yeah they're #1 in pass defense and our numbers MAY drop, but they haven't faced a good passing team yet.
On the flip side, WE haven't faced Dallas, Carolina, NYG, Philly, and Miami yet which are all ranked 25 or lower in pass defense. Our numbers could go UP.

But again I agree - TOO EARLY to project.
It's fun though.

You guys aren't going to believe this...

Last Season:

Week 13 @ Oakland: 10 Catches for 158 Yards
Week 14 vs. Denver: 6 Catches for 126 Yards and 1 TD
TOTAL: 284 Yards and 1 TD

Missed it by two yards!

I would also like to see another one of receivers or backs step up and become a weapon. That'll make Coles even better because teams won't be able to slide the coverage his way.

I am a big Pennington fan and it is way to early to tell as most of you have said one thing I beleive that Pennington does is get rid of the ball faster that being said he plays in the west coast so it is a quick pass offense. Hard to compair

I thin Coles like the SS offense vs. the Jets dink and dunk

The ONLY thing that could make DannyW look good would be playing against college defenses again.

Coles couldn't work with Woeful because Danny can't throw that far. No matter what was called, they'd all end up as come back routes.

You can't really compare Ramsey over 2 games aganist 2 average defenses to Pennington over the length of nearly a whole season. Lets see Ramsey shred the Giants then I'll see how he compares.

Good Research Patrick. The guys on this board never cease to amaze me. Is there any other board out there that even comes close to the experts we have here
