He has frozen negotiations until the end of the season to bypass any distractions, but he says he's not worried about getting a new contract.

"That's going to get done," he said. "I don't care about that. ... I'm going out and I'm going to play like I'm the best every week.

Does this mean he want's to come back now?

Once again...Champ has had the opportunity to let the fans know he wants to be a Redskins for life. Once again...he has failed to do so.

Him and his agent have the PERFECT opportunity to use the fans against the Redskins FO. I'm not sure why they are not...(after all...business is business, right?)

Well... we'll find out in a few months whether this is a ploy to get more cash or all these signs mean something and he wants out. I'm glad to have him now and I hope that we have a good season to entice him to WANT to stay.

I still say it depends on how the season turns out.

If we win the SuperBowl... then he lowers his asking price?

Just pay him at the end of the year, after we have had a winning year for a change.Does anyone doubt that if he has a Pro Bowl season,Danny will get him signed? The only way he's leaving is if it's not about the money.

I have NO DOUBTS that Champ Bailey wants to remain a REDSKIN for the remainder of his career......And i think a Winning Season will more than convince him to stay aboard........And no doubt Dan Synder is working on something lucrative to keep Champ Bailey around.........

I think you all are crazy. When Champ speaks as of late I want to puke. The contract offered to him was beyond generous so I don't think it's about the money. I don't buy it's about turnover either b/c what team doesn't have turnover and besides how is going to a completely different team a stable solution. Everybody likes to win but I don't think thats the issue either. I really think the guy wants to play both ways and doesn't see it happening here.
