New England is a big fan of the Jason Taylor trade. Even the ole stone face coach.
I think it's fair to say the Patriots didn't mind seeing Miami trade its star defensive end Jason Taylor to the Redskins on Sunday. Taylor, who has sacked Tom Brady more than any other defender in the NFL, is now out of the AFC East, and out of the Patriots' conference.
"There weren't any tears shed around here,'' Belichick told me. Brady said he and Patriots left tackle Matt Light "popped a cold beer'' when they heard of Taylor's trade. "We were the two most excited players in the NFL,'' Brady said. "We were hugging each other.''

I don't know about you, but it gets me fired up to hear those kind of comments coming from the Patriots. The Pats have one of the best O-Lines in the NFL. Brady is one of the best if not the best QB, and Belicheat is one of the top coaches in the league.
For years, the Patriots had to alter their gameplans to compensate for Taylor's ability.
And to think, he is a Washington Redskin now!!!!! Watchout Tony Romo, Donavan McNabb, and Eli Manning.

That's funny!
I haven't commented much on football lately but I think that this is a very good thing. If only we draft some young talent to groom under him next year (assuming he stays w/ a restructured contract) then I might just start *omg, hold your breath* praising Vinny.

I just keep coming back to what the THREAT of Jason Taylor will do for us. I can't remember anyone since Dexter Manley that had to be accounted and game-planned for.
And while I was trying to think of one, the name "Dean Hamel" kept randomly popping into my head. Geez, I dont know where that came from. Anyone remember him? LOL. I think they called him the Tazmanian Devil back in the day.

Say what? Praising who? Bite your tongue! (When he realizes that the war begins in the trenches I will reluctantly become, if not a believer, at least less prejudiced.)

Brady seems like he has some personality at times, but of course Matt Light is happy, he was so tired of getting schooled while playing against Miami.

First of all Taylor is going to be playing teams and OT that haven't seen him much. That's a huge plus.
Toni Romo is balled up in the fetal position sucking his thumb and rocking back and forth.

Bruce Smith?
i think smith was totally out to claim the sack record.. i think that taylor will be much more of a team player..
if he just wanted to add sacks, he could have stayed in miami.. this is about a chance to get into the playoffs and reach team goals, i believe
