His stats dipped a bit last year, but he was still solid in 2006. With Landry at free safety, the idea of John Lynch playing a little on the other side if he still wants to play, doesn't sound bad. I doubt he's expecting to make bank.

I want no part of Lynch. Let him go somewhere else.

John Lynch is one of those players that bugs me for some reason I can't quite put my finger on. That aside, his game definitely seems to be dropping off quite a bit.
Maybe he can have one more really solid year w/ someone other than Denver, but I reckon it won't be w/ us.

I'd take him on the team. He's a leader. It sounds like he'd more interested in the Patriots though. He wants to be the final piece of the championship equation.

I think we have enough leaders on the defense right now with Fletcher and Taylor being two of the more vocal ones. Too many of those guys and you start to create factions in the locker room.

You don't think he'd be good for Landry?

I actually hadn't thought about the Skins, when considering teams he might join, but I'd say he couldn't hurt Landry by being here for him to learn from. It sounds like, though, that Lynch is in that mode of wanting to join one of the top 2-3 teams that experts have pegged as a potential Superbowl Championship contender so that's really going to limit where he's going to be willing to sign, if that is in fact the way he's going about it.

his best days are behind him
rather hope that horton and/or moore develop and are roster worthy
also cap considerations

We've got $1.8MM from what I hear. You know who else makes sense on paper? Dallas.

I thought they were all stocked up with "big hitting" Safeties that can't cover ;)

Eh. I think we are ok at Safety right now. Plus, I wouldn't be too pleased of him getting 15-yard personal fouls every other game...
