Not one of the best training video I've seen but I've taught verisons of most of those self defense techniques (soda one was new to me). The reason it looks so "dorky" it's because it all set up stuff. Situation that he's demostrating would happen at split second speed and may only be a small portion of the attach or engagement.
For anyone who might be interested in the martial arts - there is no substitute for training in a dojo enviroment. There again, finding a good dojo is not easy either.
