First off you need to sign up to http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/ which is a free site.

Next you will need to download http://www.utorrent.com/ or another similar torrent site and thats all you need to get every game of the 08 season.

I will update the thread every week after each game appears on the site.

HOF game vs Indianapolis Colts (http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/details.php?id=1962)

Pre-season week 1 vs Buffalo Bills (http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/details.php?id=2037)

Pre-season week 2 @ Jets (http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/details.php?id=2115)

It plays on quick time for me but I think it works with everything.

There should be no problems if you want to put it onto a DVD.

Ok, and we truely appreciate you keeping us up to date with all the games.

i notice that this is the same site that the Redskin Unofficial Blog uses to put up the games.

please visit this thread in the forum....

Someone brought it up on page 1, and i asked a couple questions that were answered on page 2, including needing a VLC player and that from recording them to a dvd, it won't play in a dvd player.

The guy usually has it done the day after a game. I was just a bit late updating it this time.

I'm a bit hesitant to ask, but does anyone know the legality of downloading this material for viewing on your computer?

I'm very interested, but I also don't want to be one of those folks that gets slapped with a lawsuit from the NFL for thousands of dollars for distributing material.

Well, if you had to ask, you probably already knew the answer, didn't you? Not that I'm an expert or anything, but I'm guessing the legality is pretty dubious. I've checked out that site before, and I think most of the members live overseas.

You know how during broadcasts of games, there is always a blurb about redistributing stuff without expressed written consent from the NFL? They are talking about this stuff. This is just as illegal as downloading music, movies, or TV.

Torrents, or any other P2P programs for that matter, are a wonderful way to get a host of viruses, worms, spyware, adware, malware, Trojans, etc. since you have no idea what you are downloading, except for the title and description provided by a stranger.

our absolutly right, which is why you need to only download material that isn't large (movies, games, etc are large files), which is why i stick to music. Keep your computer up-to-date with your anti-virus and protection center.

As long as you are smart about it, use it judiciously(download small files) you won't really get caught. they go after big networks and stuff, not kids at home downloading small files, they got bigger fish to fry as they would say. Computer health is my major concern, and thats why i keep my computer up to date, and when i am done downloading i take off the torrent so someone else can't connect to my computer etc.

Party pooper!

If the site is even vaguely competently run, there are virus checks on the uploaded torrents and the only people that can upload anything go through a vetting process that ensures legitimacy.

If you ever spend time being the back alley PC repair guy for friends and family, you realize that people get viruses by clicking on links with boobs. Not private trackers (like the site linked above).

Yep yep. If this is something that interests you, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! You should not have to worry about viruses or anything of that sort from a site of this nature.

You don't have the "written consent of the NFL" but you're a rebel, Dottie. A loner. Don't sweat it.

If you end up in jail, we'll pool our resources and bail you out.

Yeah, you're right. 9/10, heck, probably more than that, torrents are safe. I would think downloading Redskins torrents would be okay, it is when you get into downloading movies or music that haven't even been release yet that you get yourself into trouble. Programs like kazaa or bearshare are 10 times worse than torrents.
