We need to be patient with our REDSKINS!!! We have many new faces and are still getting to know each other. Personally, I am encouraged by what I have seen from our team thus far. We are 2-1 (and IMO should be 3-0) and our biggest question mark going into this season (other than our DL) was Patrick Ramsey. Well, guess what? WE HAVE A QUARTERBACK!!!!!
The GIANTS DIDN'T BEAT US..........WE BEAT OURSELVES. 17 penalties. Dropped passes. A bad Defensive play hear and there. Yet, we came BACK from 18 points down (for the 2nd week in a row). THIS TEAM HAS SOME FIGHT IN IT!!!! We showed that on any given Sunday, we can play with anyone. This team is only going to get BETTER!!!!!
Chad Morton FINALLY looks like the WEAPON his is capable of being. We are getting good production from our WR's and (without Taylor Jacobs). Trung and Betts are BEASTS coming out of the backfield. We still have a pretty good Defense. Lets not get too down on this ONE LOSS. We didn't get blown out of the park, and we were a play or two from being 3-0 (which hurts me the most). WE SHOULD HAVE WON THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are STILL in 1st place and we are 2-1 (while going through the roughest part of our schedule). THINK OF IT THIS WAY. WE COULD ACTUALLY BE THE JETS :p AND HAVE A RECORD OF 0-3;) ;). HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

We are not in first place in the NFC East. That belongs to the Giants for beating us as a division foe.
I understand what you're saying but we're three games into the season and we're seeing the same mistakes and penalties being made.

12 years of undisciplined football is enough patience for me. It's always the (blank) team didn't beat us we beat ourselves. We are not in 1st place the Giants are. Giants 2-1 (div 1-1) Skins 2-1 (div 0-1).

OK, Technically, you guys are right (with the divisional record) as far as the "first place" thing is concerned (I was more so eluding to the fact that we are both 2-1). Point taken. We have been undisciplined for years, agreed. But this is a DIFFERENT TEAM with different players. It just sounds like some people are already jumping ship and it was only one loss (albiet one with 17 penalties). I am pissed off about the penalties, but I have to believe that these are CORRECTABLE mistakes.

I don't believe anyone is jumping ship. Here, we won't praise our team if they don't deserve it. They don't deserve any praise for the penalties that were committed yesterday or the last 10 years for that matter. We can find positives in losses like this and that's why there's a thread for that.
No one has patience for the penalties because we keep hearing how we're going to fix it and it never gets done.

I'm with 1906 on this one. What are we going to do? Everyone saw the same game. Here's a fact from the game.
The Giants were a playoff team last year. They are as good as they were last year if not better with some upgrades on special teams. They were coming off a loss to a division rival.
Tying a team record in penalties and being down by 18pts and we still had a fair shot to win the game by going into OT. Holler at me when what happened in the last 12 years.
We've been trying to keep from getting to excited about wins, we should try to have the same temperment with losses. We could have folded and lost by 30 and their wouldn't be much to say. Instead they fought and nearly won, which is why it's such a tough loss.
I'm not making excuses for the team. We are 2-1 and we are playing far below our potential. It's almost scary to think that we could be 3-0 with all these mistakes. But everyone here knows that it was only a matter of time before we took it on the chin with all these mistakes.
Now with a loss hopefully they will really learn from it and not just lean on their talent to save their arses.
I'm not going to get too down about this one. I can't wait till we see them again. I think we are tied for first, if it were playoff time the tiebreaker would give the Gmen the edge, but that'll happen after 13 more games. They don't have sole possession of the division.
Let's see if we can play better against the Pats. We definately need to. I think we will.

No qquestion in my mind that this team has the potential, personnel, and explosiveness to beat any team in the NFL, BUT, if they can't play with discipline, if they can't stop the jumping on both sides of the ball, were gonna lose more than we win, and that's a damn shame with the team we have.

We've been making mistakes from game one and the number is going up, not down as one would suspect.
Eliminate the mistakes/penalties and that game doesn't go into overtime and we win.
Just how many more losses before your patience runs thin? I'm curious.

Truant the Giants aren't unbeatable and really could have been beat the way they played yesterday. If we got a Kansas City beat down I wouldn't be complainng. We play 2 opponents every game one always includes us.
Nobody's jumping ship. I've endured the Norvcus era. You guy's just need to get used to hearing the negative truth. We played like $hit period.

TRUANT: Thanks for the love. Yeah, when I used the term "jumping ship".....I didn't mean literally (as if we are giving up on our team). It just seemed that many people were posting pessimistic (instead of optimistic) statements. What I was basically saying (and I think that you got it).........is that for the first time in years, I am actually very excited about the product that we are putting on the field. In my heart of hearts, WE SHOULD BE 3-0 (with 2 come from behind victories) against 3 playoff teams from last year. We are in the "first place" (so to speak) position with all of the penalties that we have been commiting. Could you imagine how good we could be IF WE JUST ELIMINATE THE MISTAKES???

Truant you might have something with the fact that a loss may wake everyone up and make them realize that you can't win games like this. I think Spurrier should come as the Dark Lord to practice this week.

We all love the Redskins. No one is bailing out on the season. I still believe they can make the playoffs, but only if they get their heads in the game and start making good decisions. McCants, Trotter, and Rod Gardner are not rookies anymore. Why are those guys getting stupid personal foul penalties? They cost us at least seven and as many as 14 points yesterday. Thirty five penalties in three games?? That's just incredible. Unbelievable. Astonishing. Even the Raiders would be impressed by something like that.
