i seem to remember this guy being pretty good as a OT. i think he got replaced last year or something happened where he didn't start every game.

but i think he is worth taking a look at, especially with our problems at RT right now.

If the FO has alot of faith in heyer, then don't bother with this guy. Go with the kid and let him prove himself and hopfully he is the solution. But if they are only going with him cause he is better then Jansen right now, but not really a starter then maybe this guy could step in and be our starting RT.

i only bring this up because i am of the mindset that Heyer will be a career swingman and spot duty player. a good backup but a unreliable starter for a season. i just don't think he has the talent to play. therefor i think this guy could be our starter, keep heyer in his back up spot, and our line looks pretty good. we concentrate on tackle and guard in the draft. I sure hope i am wrong, and the FO has confidence and is right that way we have a young guy at RT we can build around.

IMO - no outsiders. we have to go into the season with what we have. heyer earned the job and jansen is the backup... what is the issue?

Anderson = Jansen

Willie Anderson is older than Jansen, been in the league since 96, only played in 7 games last year, and is coming off injuries and refused to take a pay cut, which is the reason Cincy let him go.

he is probably a better risk than jansen BUT he is looking for starters money

nobody is going to sign him until after the first game, i bet..

For sure. I think we already have our "Willie Anderson" in Jon Jansen. We're already paying Jansen, no need to pay both.

He has plenty of suitors with the Ravens leading the way...
